The Act of Role-Playing
i've only reposted it twice....this being the second time....lolz. but since zoe said she was new at this, i figured it would be good to have it right here. lolz
I like these guides :) They're good
I don't know how to whistle *Hangs head* I've been trying since I was little, but I've never been able to whistle.
Oh, so do I get to be in the club since I can't whistle?! I relaly can't
*eaderly awaits results*
Oh if you want another weird fact, I'm right handed but I can only snap with my left hand

*Unsheathes sword* Siareen! Dare you say the nanas to my face? Hmm? I challenge you to a duel to the dust.
Dust? I learned to snap in 1st grade. It was a very interesting story. A girl in my class was kinda anti-social and a trouble maker, and her name was (not for real) Brittany. It was right before story time (lol, I wish I still had that) when she started teaching the boys to snap. "All you have to do is rub your two fingers together and slide them against each other" She said. And that's when I learned to snap. I didn't like Brittany.
I was referencing a book called Crown Duel.I'm kinda anti-social... But I don't think I'm a trouble-maker. Last time I checked, I wasn't.
Good for you, you can snap. *Claps half-halfheartedly* Why does everyone feel the need to gloat?

Yep! Give credit to me and Rae, though.

oh, i dare!!!!!!! *takes out bigger sword*
nananna! *stick out tongue and blows a rasberry*
wait, what does crown duel have to do with what you said?!? lol, love that book :)
oh. lol, and throws up all over Tamaras? carpet and Savona has to carry her out. or was it Vindaric? dont remember those words though..
It was Savona. I have the book right here. I'll copy that part down. Even farther away was Tamara's voice. "Did you really fight a duel to the death with our late king?"
"It was more of a duel to the-" I felt the room lurch as I stood up.
That was a mistake.
"A duel," I repeated slowly, "to-" I wetted my lips again. "To-burn it! I actually had a witty saying fer onsh... once. What's wrong with my mouth? A duel to the dust!" I giggled insanely, then noticed that no one else was laughing. I blinked, trying to see, to explain.
lol, i remember now!!!!!!!! haha, duel to the dust because she fell... quite a duel it was. did it last two blows or three? lol.

Okay, not really, but some habits in RPing can help things run smoothly, or hinder its progression. Here's a little help for people who are new to RPing and a nice, little refresher for the veterans.
-Each post should be in third person. As in, someone should write "She walked away." Instead of "I walked away."
-People get really annoyed by bad grammer, spelling, punctuation, etc....So try to avoid that. If it helps, try writing the post on Microsoft word before putting it into the RP. Firefox Mozilla has spellcheck, I believe
-If you have something to say aside from the RP, put in double parentheses: (()). It keeps things organized. But with that being said, try not to stray away from the RP too much. Post it in the spam or chat topics instead.
-For the love of all things holy, DON'T GOD MODEL! Please, it's boring to have an all-powerful character who's perfect and amazing. Give them faults. Quirks. ANYTHING to make them interesting.
-Try not to make your character the center of attention constantly. Let other people have their moment to make their characters shine. Everyone will get their turn.
-Don't kill, maim, or RP another person's character without their permission. It's very rude and people don't appreciate it.
-Try to avoid one-liners.
- Don't forget to be creative and use your imagination- the best RolePlays come when they're imaginative.
Happy Roleplaying!
-RedPath (RP) and Rae
