Oh, this is great!!! Sign me up!Flowers from the Storm - Another new to me author - Laura Kinsale.
Anchor and Storm - Author new to me.
Melanie wrote: "UM, Can't wait to see what you think of Anchor and Storm. It is one of my keepers."So far it's sad, but I'm loving it. I hope things can work out for them. All of them.
I will be participating in this but I haven't found my books yet. I'll probably find something at the library to prevent me from spending money :)
Pamela(AllHoney) wrote: "I will be participating in this but I haven't found my books yet. I'll probably find something at the library to prevent me from spending money :)"Nice! All of my books will be books I already own, or got for free, because I can't buy anything new until April.
New Authors for me this month-Jill Monroe- Primal Instincts (Harlequin Blaze #378)
Judy Duarte- His, Hers and...Theirs?
Heather MacAllister- His Little Black Book
I finished Anchor and Storm - an author new to me - and I'm surprised at how many excellent erotic reads I've stumbled on. Usually they're shallow and nothing but sex, which is fine if that's what you're looking for, but this one is very emotional. I really enjoyed it, even though parts were sad.

Currently reading Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean, who's a new-to-me author

While surfing around GR, I came upon this thread and, wham!, here I am. I. Can't. Resist. A. Challenge. *sighs*So I'm in. I don't know what I'll be reading yet. I'll have to see what I already have on my TBR, because I'm only allowed to buy books after July 1st.
Great to see ya, Dina! And there's always the library. I'm buying only one book a month so I will need to get my books somewhere so the library is a great alternative :)
Thanks, Pamela. :) I want to reduce my TBR so I'm focusing on it first. If there's nothing "new to me" there, I'll hit my sister's bookshelves. The library is usually my last resort, because it isn't close and I'm lazy, LOL.
My younger sister and I are the only ones in the family who enjoy reading. We don't have the same exact taste - who does? - but we both love romances and that's all that matters. :) My older sister and the rest of my family think we are "nerds". If they knew some of the stuff I read, they'd change their minds in a minute, LOL.
lol @ Dina. I always tell my hubby that the covers are misleading. And sometimes they are :) But its one of my few "joys" so he lets me read. Plus that means he doesn't have to fight me for the remote.
Oh yeah, 99% of the covers are misleading: the H/h's hair color rarely matches the description in the book, even though the six pack is usually a purrfect match, LOL.
Okay, I decided what I'll be reading for this challenge: Simple Need by Lissa Matthews (new author to me.)
Dina wrote: "Okay, I decided what I'll be reading for this challenge: Simple Need by Lissa Matthews (new author to me.)"Oh, that sounds like a goodie. Let us know. I have not bought any books yet this month. :) PBS doesn't count.
Dina wrote: "Okay, I decided what I'll be reading for this challenge: Simple Need by Lissa Matthews (new author to me.)"Oh, baby.... that's one scorching hot read!
Dina wrote: "Okay, I decided what I'll be reading for this challenge: Simple Need by Lissa Matthews (new author to me.)"Put that one right on my tbr list- looks really good!
Just finished a book by new-to-me author Kelly Wallace. Her book, Braving the Storm, was a 4 star read for me. Will certainly check out some of her other titles.
I finished my book a couple of days ago, and it was quite good, IMHO. I'll be giving it 4.5 stars.
I'm now working on a non-fiction book, The Science of Kissing by another new-to-me author, Sheril Kirshenbaum.

I'm reading
another author new to me.And my new favorite book of all time. I've never read anything like it. It's touching, happy, sad, scary, comforting, loving, hating.... I've cried more reading this story than I have any other, and Christian is easily my all time favorite hero. And I'm not even through yet.

I've seen many ppl raving about it. I read one Kinsale but I didn't care much for it. I've been tempted to try that one because of the reviews but I'm afraid it'd be a waste of money for me.
It's hard to say, Pamela, because everyone's tastes are different, and this is my first book by her, so I've none other of her writing to compare it to.I adore this book. I can't put it down, love, love, LOVE this book.
I finished
very good and now I'm reading
by the same author so can't count it. Also reading
but can't count it either.
All new authors I have read this past week-
,
,
Fever was smokin hot, Three to Ride had a really good story to go along with the hotness.
I finished The Science of Kissing, an awesome book that will be getting 5 stars from me.
Now I'm on to a romantic historical fiction by another new author: My Enemy, My Beloved by Karl Vanghen. Very good so far.
Dina wrote: "Okay, I decided what I'll be reading for this challenge: Simple Need by Lissa Matthews (new author to me.)"Fickle that I am, I didn't read what I'd planned to. :) I read Lone Star Trouble by Autumn Piper instead. I didn't like it and I'm wondering if there's something wrong with me, because everyone else who's read that book seems to have enjoyed it. Oh well, c'est la vie.
Sometimes that just happens, Dina. There are a few books out there like that for me. I'm still scratching my head over why everyone loved it and I couldn't get into it. And then there's occasionally the reverse where I loved a book that has low ratings. Go figure!:-)
Ok, I just finished The Unsung Hero- new author for me. I liked it. I'd definitely continue with the series.
