Shawn Very interesting list of challenges. I'm game. Any suggestions about a good read to start this off?

Sorry, Shawn, that it took me so long to comment. I work at a college and our Winter Quarter just started- madness I tell you!

Naomi opened up a thread with the website on which this group is based. It has the list of 'Cult' books that is part of the Challenge. You could try there or pick a member and check out their lists for one to read.

I will try to give more suggestions when I have the time, but in the meanwhile good luck!

Shawn 3 - From the original Cult book list that started this group

1 - With a color in the title
1 - Non fiction: Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt
1 - Over 500 pages
1 - That has been translated into English
1 - Childrens book
1 - With an animal in the title
1 - With an item of clothing in the title
1 - Whatever should strike your whimsy

How are you enjoying the challenge? And, also, so cool that you picked one from my list! It is an incredible book, I hope you like it.

What did you think of the Stieg Larsson trilogy? I thought the last two didnt quite live up to the promise of the first but they were still very good.

I hope you like Slaughterhouse-Five its one of my favourites.

I felt the same way actually. I started the trilogy over Christmas and really enjoyed the first one. I like the last two, but felt the first one was the better of the three.

Slaughterhouse -Five has been on my bookshelf for a while. I have high expectations. I have read some other Vonnegut and I'm a huge fan!
