Tell No One by Harlan Coben has won the poll this month. Thanks in advance to Zen who will be our discussion leader.

I would like to have a second group read as well (seeing as we didn't have one last month). The runner up book is The Weed That Strings the Hangman's Bag. Heather is the designated discussion leader, but she has not answered my emails, so I will be stepping in for her.

Poll open through January 11, 2011:

Nominations closed. I'll be setting up the poll soon.

General rules for Group Reads. Please read before you create your post.

One nomination per person from any mystery genre. Authors, please no self-nominations.

Nominations will be open until Saturday, January 8, 2011, with voting until January 12.

For your post, use Title, Author and Link (use the "add book/author" link at top of comment box) please.

Since we are a rather international group check to make sure the book is readily available. Is it available in paperback? Used? Your local library? The last thing we want is to nominate a great book that no one can get!

Finally, a word about series - the joy or bane of a mystery reader’s life! Please consider whether the book you are nominating would be best read by someone who has read all the previous books in the series or can be enjoyed by someone new to the series too.

Thanks for your cooperation!

Donna and Hayes

Hi Dalene. Faceless Killers was our group read back in Oct 2009. Would you like to nominate another book by a different author?

By the way, Faceless Killers is terrific.

Sorry, I did see that a few months ago on your bookshelf and just didn't remember. I just got it on audio and am excited to read it.

Okay, new nomination...

The first in this series was a group read last year and this seems to be now available in paperback. I just finished his first and can't wait to continue the series.

A wiley inspector and his team picking their way through the crime, patronage and bureacracy in modern Siciliy. Thoughtful, subtle and funny with an authentic emphasis on solving crimes between excellent meals.

Jan C (woeisme) | 39282 comments I guess. I'll be sitting out this month's reading - both of them. I am no fan of Coven. One of his seems the same as another - to me, equally bad. And I never finished the earlier book of Bradley 's. It wasn't bad. But I just wasn't all that interested.

message 31: by K.B. (new)

K.B. Hallman (kbhallman) | 302 comments Ditto, but that works well for me, because I'm reading Anna Karenina for another group.
