Discuss this story below!

Joanie | 59 comments This was the one with the mafia type wedding right? And the bride is the daughter of the boss and she's not attractive and you get the feeling that the groom was forced to marry her, right? I don't remember much of the details but I remember that there is some guy from another mob family who comes to the wedding (I think a guy who is higher up made him do it-I think he was terrified) and said to the bride's father something about when a fat woman "gets an itch in her parts she gets a man" or something. That line has always stuck with me-lovely!

I'll be curious to see what the rest of you write about this one, I remember so little.

This is the one with the mafia wedding. It was actually my least favorite story in the book. I think maybe it's because there was nothing creepy or supernatural about it.

Kathy (bookgoddess1969) | 665 comments I don't know what to say about this one. I liked the guy that was telling the story. He was interesting and really was a good storyteller, I think. This is one of those stories where Stephen King shows what he can do outside of the "horror" genre. There isn't too much going on here, but its told in a really amiable and interesting way. (If that makes any sense?)

Kandice | 4388 comments I agree Kathy. The story was pleasant to read, not because of the story itself, but because of the way it was told. I used to love to listen to my uncle ramble on. He never said very much of interest, but he was so... entertaining, in an understated way. This story is like that.

Kind of like when yu hear certain songs on the radio, you turn them up, but then one day you finally listen to the lyrics, and you think...huh? It's the music you like, not the words.

Kandice that is so true, or I also think it can be opposite. Like you don't care for the music but the lyrics are good. I've been playing a lot of Rock Band lately and there are some songs on there I always thought stunk and then I sign along to the lyrics and I enjoy the song so much more.

Kandice | 4388 comments Angie- you're right. It can definitely work both ways. Same thing with books. There are lots of times I love the story, just really, really wish someone else had written it!
