Jenny Q (jenny_q) Hey everyone! I'm locked-n-loaded and ready to start the tour! I don't see a Christian fiction category, but since I've just read and reviewed this one, I'll post it for everyone anyway!

Jenny,

I was discussing this with my hubby this past weekend. Perhaps, you can help me with a definition for this category. What classifies a book as 'Christian' fiction. What are the deciding factors? Very curious what the general guidelines are. I'd be happy to add a Christian historical fiction category.

Jenny Q (jenny_q) I don't really know the specific qualifications, but usually the book will be categorized as "Inspirational", and has strong themes of overcoming troubles through faith and prayer.

Jenny Q (jenny_q) Finished this one last week--it's a Victorian gothic. Doesn't really fit into one of the categories, but since I read and review so much historical fiction, I figured I'd post my reviews of the ones I like anyway!

Jenny Q (jenny_q) I think this one would qualify as historical fantasy. I loved it! The Raven Queen

Also, if it's published by Zondervan, it's probably Christian.

Jenny Q (jenny_q) This one is categorized as a historical mystery, though it's really more of an adventure, there's not really a mystery to be solved. I plan to review Deanna Raybourn's newest later this year as my historical mystery entry, but this one was very good so I'm sharing with the group!
