Jessica entered the pet shop and went ovr to the pet food.

Wildcat lifted her nose, inhaling, and was greeted by the aroma of prey animals and bones.

"It's ok girl!"

Wildcat backed off at Jessica's tone. She had been excited, but maybe this was a place to worry.

Sarah,Logan, Isabelle,and Brownie walked into the pet store.

Wildcat looekd over at Brownie and winced. Another dog. What if she tries to take away Jessica? What if she tries to hurt Jessica?

Jessica bent down and placed a loving hand on Wildcat.

Wildcat shivered. She glanced around at the harmless creatures and then fixed her gaze on the other dog, Brownie.

Jessica felt Wildcat get tense under her hand. "Really, it' s ok girl!"

Wildcat started a low growl. Brownie was a threat!

Jessica started leading him to thee register. "We'll be out in a minute girl!"

Wildcat's noise was cut off, but her face remained scowled. She growled again.

Jessica handed the money to the cashier, and quickly got her bag and reciet and headed toward the door.

Wildcat tugged on her collar, refusing to leave until she got a good sniff at Brownie. She barked wildly.

" Hi I'm Sarah and I'm looking for a cat who's dig friendly " she smiled as her kids and Brownie took a seat by the counter.

"Your in luck. We have juston kitten left. She's sitting on the bird per-" The cashier broke off and rushed over to the stand of which a half-feathered parrot stood, shivering, as the brindle kitten readied to pounce. He snatched up the kitten and walked over to the counter. "The sooner she goes, the better."

"Wildcat!" She braced for Wildcat to pounce at the invading dog.

Wildcat felt Jessica's fear and released tension. She trotted over to the door and sat next to the sliding doors.

"Ready to go girl?"

Wildcat silutated a nod, which ended up in her sneezing.

"Come on then," Jessica started out the sliding doors.

Wildcat trotted happily after Jessica.

" Thanks " shouted Sarah
Isabelle scopped up the kitten " Her name is Trudy "
Logan rolled his eyes and Brownie looked up at him,He smiled.

"No, her name is not Trudy." The cashier took the kitten back. "Her name is Fiji, after the tropical island." He set Fiji on the counter and shoved her into a carrier. "You can have her after you sign some papers and pay."

Sarah grabbed the papers and started signing them.

" But I like the name Trudy " said Isabelle " Logan got to name Brownie "

"Well, Fiji came with a name. She responds to it. If you try to change her name, she won't listen top you." He was partly lying in that the kitten never comes when called.

" Okay " muttered Isabelle
" I'm sorry about her behavior " said Sarah
Logan rolled his eyes Isabelle wished she could name everything, even him.

He shrugged. "Eh."

" Thanks for Fiji " said Sarah

Fiji mewed and struggled in the grip of the Cashier. The cashier dropped the kitten into Isabelle's hands and walked back behind the counter. "Have a nice day."
Fiji struggled against the young girl's hold.

" He's squirming " shouted Isabelle
" Here " said Sarah picking up Fiji and putting her in a pink cat carrier she had bought.
Brownie looked at the new pet she wondered why her owners wanted another pet.
Logan picked up Brownie " Come on girl " he said
Brownie let herself be picked up by Logan's warm hands

Cashier turned around. "Fiji's a girl. She iIS NOT a BOY. She's a GIRL." He trudged into his office.

Fiji yowled loudly.

" I know God " said Sarah ignoring Fiji's yowls and putting her cage next to Brownies in the back of her Honda Pilot.
Logan dropped Brownie in her carrier and took a seat next to Isabelle in the car.

Fiji yowled louder now. She started hissing at the cage bars and clawing at them.

" Mommy my kitty's mad " said Isabelle
" It's okay we can take her out when we get home " said Sarah
Logan rolled his eyes just as he thought cats were stupid.
" Calm Down " barked Brownie

'I-I'm trapped! Not again. Not again." She paced back and forth and then continued her yowling. She pawed at the cat-proof lock and stared around the tiny space. "LET ME OUT!" She screeched.

" Your not trapped stupid " laughed Brownie at the silly kitten.

"I'm not stupid either!" Fiji hissed.

" Meow little kitty " barked Brownie

Wildcat padded in next to Jessica.

Jessica walked to the dog section and picked up two leashs.

Wildcat sniffed at a nylon bone and snorted. Gross! Not even a real bone!

"You want it?" Jessica bent down to take it off the rack.

Wildcat narrowed her eyes and growled at the bone in digust.
