Classics for Beginners discussion

If you want to keep track of the classics you have read and/or want to read then make yourself a topic in this folder.

It can also be useful for others to see what you have read and want to read. If there are books most of us have read we can discuss, or likewise books we want to read (if we finish early) we can group read it as an extra or nominate for a read.

So, how do you make a folder for this list?

At the top of all the discussions on the left hand side it says 'new'. Click this then you can name your file and add it to the personal classics folder. If you have trouble I can make it for you.

Published list? You mean like an author's book list, or do you mean one of those ubiquitous "best" lists?

The BBC did do a "Big Read" quite a while back and I think you can find that on line.

I just found out that you can request catalogs for free from Penguin. I got one that lists their classics, one that lists signet classics, one for lit, and one for history. They’re pretty cool. The one for classics is like a book and lists every classic and has a description for them and about the author.
