Has anyone noticed under Writings, there is a future book that is going to be a Prequel? I wonder what that's about...
Yes I noticed that and wondered myself what it could be. I never read any of the Lord John books but to my understanding it takes us in the life of Lord John and Jamie before Claire was in the story. Could the prequel book be a book based on Claires life(with Frank) before she went through the stones?? Just a thought...
Or...could it be a glimpse into Jamie's earlier life with his father and Jenny and all of his adventures in the french army before Claire "falls from the sky" and into his life...
For some reason, I thought it was Brian and Ellen's story. That may only be wishful thinking.
I was going to say that I thought it would be Brian and Ellen too...That's going to be exciting. And do you think that means that that book 8 is actually the last book!? Dreadful!
I would like it to be Brian and Ellen's story. I would love to hear that. :)
I can remember that I read - unfortunately I cannot remember where - that DG wanted to write I prequel to the Outlander series, in which she wanted to tell the story of Jamie's parents. It is rather disappointing to find just an "untiteled book 8" in the row of book titels. Considering the rather detailled way of DG's writing I doubt she would be able to finish the story with just one more book and there also were hints (where?) that this series would consist of 3 trilogies in the end.

I admire DG so much (isn't she amazing what with 3 degrees, kids, multiple projects, appearances, blogging, travel, research, etc. goin' on all at once) - I can't WAIT to slurp up anything and everything she writes - including information about herself! Love the new site!
I didn't know where to put this news (in case no one knows) but there is a new excerpt on DG's website featuring Claire. It's headed "Happy Birthday Claire" as she was born 10/20/1918.

The Poisoned Pen bookstore (bless their independent little hearts {g}) is hosting the launch party for THE SCOTTISH PRISONER, due to be released November 29th. This will be held at the Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix, AZ (because we haven’t been able to fit the launch-party crowds into the bookstore since THE FIERY CROSS) at 7 PM on (reasonably enough) November 29th. (Party actually starts at 6 – I come on at 7-ish.)
