I enjoyed it very much. I was very pleased at how fresh and funny and "modern" it seemed, even read today. Like many first-time readers of the piece, I was led to it by Connie Willis's To Say Nothing of the Dog - one of my favorite books. I was not disappointed.
(Wikipedia says it was originally intended as a serious/non-fictional travel guide! My goodness, but the author failed at that, in my opinion, even as he very much succeeded at telling a rollicking, humorous story!)
26. Don't Get Too Comfortable: The Indignities of Coach Class, The Torments of Low Thread Count, The Never-Ending Quest for Artisanal Olive Oil, and Other First World Problems - David Rakoff ****

27. Life of Pi by Yann Martel ****
