I did. Well the draft. I need to head to Borders to get the paperback, then nudge her into a signature :P I personally know the author. If you're interested, she loves talking to book groups/clubs.
The sequel's name has changed a few times. I forget what it is now. I BELIEVE Song of the Nile. Used to be Sorceress. You'll discover more about Juba in the next book.I think she mentioned Fall 2011 but that may have changed, too.
Have you checked out her website? I love her blog since she updates it with some historical insights into that time period.
Usako - how cool that you know her! I wish I taught middle school or high school some days because I'd totally take you up on that. :) Can't wait for the next one, so I will have to stalk her blog for more info.
I'm doubly excited for the success of her novel. If sales for the first and second book are well, then the publisher will pick up her third to end the trilogy. My fingers are triple-crossed in hopes this happens!I'd have to check with her but I'm certain she'll join any online groups to do a Q&A if requested.

Have any of you read this one yet?
