Time stands still, as the shooting stars
Fly in the sky, making us forgot our scars.
Those held by life and its mysteries,
Those that tell the story of our histories.
The truth is everyones, but the secrets are ours.
Fly in the sky, making us forgot our scars.
Those held by life and its mysteries,
Those that tell the story of our histories.
The truth is everyones, but the secrets are ours.
Time is only once upon a firefly. Why do the good always have to be the ones to die?
The bad have their share,
They live a life unfair,
And the good are the ones who make it to heavenly skies.

I know it's not that good, but.....
I knew that I had made a mistakeWalking in the desert while half awake
When I heard that rattle
I feared I was in for a battle
Trying to outrun that snake
I always enjoy swinging at ballsWhen I'm stressed and
About to hit the walls
When I connect
I can deflect
Emotions that can get me in brawls
After my love note was "returned to sender"I became really ill. I was on a bender.
I mixed vodka and rye
And after a good cry
I drank the mix from my blender
@Charlotte: Nice one :D@Ashpash: No, I like it.
Rob: All three were pretty good.
Thanks for submitting guys! I'll have voting for the winner at the end of the month :D
I don't believe in horoscopes, but....I just read my horoscope Aquarius
And I find it really quite hilarious
What it said really fit
Nearly with wit
About my problems precarious
As a matter of fact, I love writing limericks and other forms of poetry! I generally write 1 or more poems daily. One friend of mine issues first line limerick challenges weekly on Facebook. Another friend sends his funny cartoons to Facebook on a daily basis and I try to come up with a poem whose theme is somehow related to that poem. Most of my poetry can be found here: http://poetrybysirlaugh.blogspot.com/
Stuart, here is a great limerick group! I'd like very much to view more of your talented efforts! http://www.madkane.com/humor_blog/
That wouldn't qualify, A limerick has 5 lines the first, second and 5th rhyme and the 3rd and 4th rhyme separately. Like this A sports-loving fellow named Lee
Loved to show off ambidextrously
First his left hand, then his right
And when a full crowd was in sight
He'd use his nose as a tee
There once was a girl with braces. She envied her other friend's faces.
She felt quite inferior
When she looked in the mirror
And saw some spinach stuck in the spaces.
wow everybody's lims are excellent! lol im still lmao at RedPath's though =Deh...here's mine. just for fun though since im a mod
what if instead of two legs, we had four
of our own in which we use to get through a trap door
and it only opens for persons with imaginative minds,
fantastic dreams and positively original kinds
of ideas, that when shared, only fears us more?
Here's mine.Flowers are dancing, the wind is howling.
The sky is dark, the trees are bowing.
I sit byself on the top of a tree,
Oh how the wind calls out to me!
Peace, the greatest feeling on earth to be.

Awww, nice one, T-Rose :D
@Queen Susan: I like that :)
Stuart wrote: "Amina wrote: "NICE =d"thanks Amina,
Limericks I find fun to do
you only have to think them through
just take some time
Write words that rhyme
and see if others like them too"
OMG, That's a good one=)
If I would study and learnI could get what I yearn
I always wanted to a mime
And when I find the time
I'll have money to burn
A really neat idea!Wouldn't it be neat to invent a musical Rubik's cube?
Just think of all the minds it's creation would lube
Such an ascent
Would be time well spent
But I'm just going to relax and watch the tube
I think people who wanted 2 submit have done so already. I think I'll keep the next contest for two weeks.

A limerick is a five-line poem in anapestic or amphibrachic meter with a strict rhyme scheme aabba), which intends to be witty or humorous, and is sometimes obscene with humorous intent. It may have its roots in the 18th-century Maigue Poets of Ireland[citation needed], although the form can be found in England in the early years of the century[1]. It was popularized in English by Edward Lear in the 19th century, although he did not use the term.
The following is an example of a limerick:
There was a young rustic named Mallory,
who drew but a very small salary.
When he went to the show,
his purse made him go
to a seat in the uppermost gallery.
So, people, you have till Feb 16th to submit a short limerick. Com'mon, this is so easy, I expect loads to take part. Five lines? How long does it take a writer to write that?
