ya, kenna, can u help me with something? i like really really hate this girl named mckenna, how am i supposed to tell her i hate her without hurting her feelings? JK!!!! hehe :) hey i g2g

I'm going into JR. High, and I'm a shy person and well, there's going to be no one I know.(Well except my sister and her friends). How can I make new friends?

i am entering 7th grade, so i've had 1 year experience. i started off at a completely new school, with only like 2 ppl i knew. the first few days i hung around with the ppl i knew, but i began to notice ppl i liked and seemed like they would like me. just find someone 'your style' :) and when u have the time, go up to them and introduce yourself, everything will go its own way from there. at first it will be a little akward, but if that person fits in with u, it will become better and better. the first few days are REALLY stressful, but early into the year, you will pretty much establish some friends, lunch tables etc. A little bit later into the year, u might make some other friends, just like i did. and i was like REALLY shy at first. when ppl get to be my really good friends, i kinda let go, and stop being shy, but in the beggining i was REALLY shy. Shy ppl make really great friends, like kenna said. trust me, there are other ppl in ur grade, at ur school, looking for exactly what ur looking for, you just have to find them. it will get easier and easier as u get to know the ppl, and the school. the first few days were just about hte most stressful days of my life, but u get past them, and u become comfortable. i hope all this helps...:)

oh yeah i had the exact same problem going into middle school. i was really shy and didn't know anybody, cuz my best friend went to another middle school. i was totally scared that i wouldn't have any friends. but on the first day i started talking to this girl cuz we were in a lot of the same classes; she didn't know anybody either, cuz she had come from private school to the public middle school. like mckenna said, try making friends w/ppl who also look like they don't really know anybody--cuz they probably want to make new friends, too! anyway, so this girl and i became friends pretty fast. and then she made friends w/this other girl, who also became my friend, who had a bunch of other friends, who also became my friends. so u get the picture. ;D once u make friends w/one person, a lot of other friends come as part of the package... does that make sense?
