Well I'll let you know when I finish the book but I enjoy the chapters about Logen and probably Glokta more than Jezal.
Looking forward to your review. I do like Glokta and by the end of the series he was one of my favourite characters, especially in the third book.
Great series! Glokta was by far the best. Remember the part with the dueling contest and what Bayaz does. Don't want to give anything away but that was Awesome.
I read The Blade Itself several months ago, and as soon as I finished it, I ordered the other two to complete the trilogy. I just loved the Glokta character. So mean, so twisted, so intelligent...
What makes his character so great is what made him that way. And I think he is only mean for a purpose. He is just amazed he is still alive. Remember all the mental images he has when he thinks that he will die soon. Great stuff. First through the breach!
Yep we are, putting it up now the book that was voted for on the poll. Sorry I don't have it up already. Starting this month I'll make sure the book gets chosen a couple of weeks before the month stars so that you know what your going to be reading.
Here's my review of The Blade Itself.
Great book. Featuring some awesome characters, especially Glokta, also the fabulous appearances of Jezal's jaw, and on a more serious note all the Named Northmen like: The Bloody Nine, The Dogman, Black Dow, Weakest, and Grim. The book was well-written and suspenseful. I look forward to reading the sequels.

I read this book a few months ago and absolutely loved it, enough to rip through the rest of the series actually. I wanted to know what everyone thinks. What did you think of the POV? The setting? Who was your favourite character to follow?
I always saw Abercrombie's world similar to the setup of the UK. It always reminds me of the Romans vs. the Celts. I'm not sure why I make that association with the setting since it has nothing to do with the storyline or the lifestyle of the characters.
Logan Ninefingers is by far my favourite character to follow in the book. He is given alot of depth in this book and I find myself really looking forward to his chapters. I also enjoyed Jezal's storyline, though, not as much as I did in the books later on in the series.
