I've had 4!My first(and oldest) was Ratsy- male.
then later after he died I rescued a few rats that were gunna b snake-food! Tippy and Shadow- both female. Later when Shadow ran away(she was a freaking hudini!), we got my next girl Rattata. She used to bite a lot...
I caught Shadow again and had three at one time. But then one morning she disapeared again... found her a while later.
My lil' friend came over and we took the rats outside with their little leashes. Shadow slipped it(somehow!) and vanished into the woods never to be seen again... :/
Tippy was my favorite, though she was a bit skinny, naturally, she was in good health!
A few years later they both passed on of old age. *sigh* I miss them...
I LOVE RATS. I've had three total but two have died, leaving me with one. (Her name is pickle) Rats are extremely cute, smart, and easily trainable! I tried getting them a leash, but they slip out of 'em to easily so I just set them on the grass and follow them around. :D During winter I put pickle in my fuzzy coat pocket and ride around on my bike. She likes sticking her head out.
one time my friend had a pet snake and they bought frozen mice and rats to feed him. well they thought 'the snake won't eat cold food.' so they put them in the microwave. they blew up.

you were talking about rats so i added my very own rat story!i have a friend with an albino rat. it's freaky but he's his pride and joy. and he's adorable--the rat i mean.

Lol I just thought of something funny. There's like this snake food commercial and the guy says *in announcer voice* your snake will love our new frozen rodent pops!

they might have put them in too long....or had a higher power microwave than the one used to make the directions. i wasn't actually present so i don't know.
I do know that things blow up in the microwave though... like flies. A long story, but basically we switched the lights off one by one until we led the fly into the microwave. Use your imagination from there ^.^ Wasn't my idea by the way- my older brother is just a really bad influence ;P
