Which is the MOST IMPORTANT factor in why/how you choose a book?

A. The COVER drew me in
B. I read the BACK BLURB and thought I would like it.
C. Someone RECOMMENDED it to me.
D. I read several REVIEWS and chose based on them.

The cover usually catches my eye and then I read the back blurb. If I see it online I check the authors website to see if there is a excerpt available to make sure that I like the writing style. I've only recently started to take into consideration recommendations from others. If I take a shine to an author I just grab all their books up eventually.

personally i HATE reviews, especially the professional ones. Chances are, if the critics love it, I'll hate it lol. So with that in mind, like Megan, the cover and title will usually capture my attention, then I read the back of the book.

In my case, it was the recommendation of someone who shares my taste for paranormal romance books.

The cover will catch my eye, then read the blurb... Also I found Tessa on FB, and that got me checking out the books. I have friends and family that I share a love of books with and we tell each other about new books we are reading.

C. My cousin finds the best books by reading the reviews, and then she calls me to tell me about them. We have similar taste in books. If she loves the book I know it's a must-read. She found Tessa Dawn's books for me!

The cover is the first thing I notice, then I either read the back blurb or I will start to read a chapter and see if it hooks me in. In this case I read the first 3 free chapters and couldn't wait to get my hands on BD to see what happened next!
