The new writer is going to take over...the series. the first book will have some of LJ Smith'a writing in it but the rest of it will be all new author stuff.

it's an awful idea ; you can't read the beginning of a book by an author and the rest by another it will loose its charm

I might look into it- it isn't right that the publishers can do that to her. I read that she was being fired because of the Damon/Elena relationship.

no way i loved the Damon/Elena relationship it added adventure and mystery to the story

the publisher only wanted elena tempted by Damon not to actually fall in love with him...so yeah..anti-delena publishers lol...

It is not fair either...kind of makes any want to be writers discouraged to hear something like this as well. ><

I would agree with you & it doesn't mean we should give it a try. L.J. Smith is one of the best it wouldn't hurt fighting for something we believe in

It doesn't hurt to try, your right.

However, I can't work on it...it takes time to send out emails...make the petition and then spread it....My time is currently working on finished my classes for university application. I have two universities waiting on me >< maybe three...

Yeah, preferably someone who is not in school, and doesn't have to worry about making grades. Because school is important.(even more important then Vampire Diaries)
