I'm almost finished with that one, now. That will leave about 10 books I'll read before the discussion. I don't know how helpful my insight will be after all that time, but I can try. Hey, maybe I'll have time to really analyze...
Ha! You already named this thread. I just gave a suggestion on the "what are you reading now" thread.
I've read it already, but if you are doing an open discussion, I'll jump in when you guys start talking about it.
Yay! I am glad other people will be reading it with me. I will probably start it mid-February so it will be fresher in my mind.
mid February sounds great. i have a HUGE to-read list, so if we put off Nightshade til mid-feb, i'll dedicate my time to that book. (if it's really good though, i'll be done within 2 days or less)
I'd like to join! I wanted to read this one anyway, and what a gorgeous cover! I think Im going to ebook it though if I can....why are YA books so expensive?!

The book is beautiful and it has the deckle edge pages. Basically makes the edge of the paper look old like an old journal.
My library has it on order still, so if it arrives on time I'll probably join in. Though I seem to be the only one on the planet that hates the cover! Haha

I have this book and hope to read it this month. I'm not gonna say I'll join yet because I'm not sure if I will be able to get to it, but I hope I can. If I get to read it I will definitely come back and discuss it with you guys (:Actually I think this is gonna push me to read it now :)

Funny thing is... I like the Shiver covers too. I love that series. I can't wait for Forever. I haven't read Fallen or Hush,Hush yet but the covers are nice.
Yep, I love the cover too so I had to buy a hard copy myself. Though I got my at Barnesnnoble.com for 11 dollars I didn't think that was bad for hardcover.

Too much purple, glitter and floweriness for my taste...though I'll be interested to see how it relates to the idea of werewolves/shifters :D
I'm a bit of a graphic design nut, so my eye is generally caught by interesting compositions, colour combinations and the like - in fact, I'm feeling suddenly inspired to make an 'Awesome Covers' shelf! It shall be done *runs off*
I love the purple and the glitter! Purple is my favorite color. I love that the book itself, under the jacket is purple too. :) I too am curious how the cover will relate to the book. Will have to see when I read it.
I think its cool and never really noticed the glitter I had to go back and look..lol I love the cover for Wolfsbane too! I like the green color better than the purple but its still pretty...LOL
I don't often look at covers. I look at what the story is about and figure out if it catches my interest. :)

What covers would go on your shelf? (An awesome cover shelf is a great idea! I may have to do that too.)
The best metallic covers are the Mortal Instruments ones. They're so pretty when you hold the books in your hands. My favorite is the prequel one for Clockwork Angel.
Have you guys seen the Chinese cover of Shiver? I love it...http://www.goodreads.com/author_blog_...
It's pictured in this link.
Liking that one, Wendy! Hadn't seen it before.Hmm, I'm going to have to go cover-stalking, find some good ones - can't think of many off the top of my head! Here are some of the ones on my new shelf though:
Also, has anyone else seen the old TMI covers? These are what my copies look like:
...and can't find City of Glass. I think I like them better, despite the lack of Jace's torso! :D

Thank you for sharing! I love these books. I set the Chinese one as my desktop on my computer. :) I wish she could sell them as posters or have them as bookmarks or postcards. I would buy any of them for my room. I am always jealous of the swag people get in YouTube videos. I want swag too!

It's funny that you say this because when I saw those book covers int he blog I went looking for books that had been made into posters. I have a few that I would frame in my house. Unfortunately I couldn't' find newer books that were turned into posters. Only old classics.
Stormi wrote: "I think its cool and never really noticed the glitter I had to go back and look..lol I love the cover for Wolfsbane too! My only problem, is the purple cover her coloring of the person is different (hair color and skin) and she is an actual person where as the purple is not a real person
I like the cover for
for the same reason I like the
cover, they both have like a cool glitter thing going on when you look at them close up. But I'm not a fan of the flower and the purple of the Nightshade cover, but it is a very cool cover nonetheless. I have to say that I like the cover for
a little bit better than
, especially it being all green, looks pretty great to me.
I've read this one already, too, but once you guys start discussing it I'll be there :D I really loved it. Hope you guys do as well!

I would love to have a few book themed posters. Did you find a website for them? I will have to browse the web. I know there are some newer ones like The Hunger Games but I think it may just be of the bird logo. I don't know of many others.

That Jane Eyre one is similar to this Jane Austen biography I just read. I've seen lots of repeat covers since I've been on GR. I never noticed before...
I have heard about a Hunger Games poster, but I have yet to see it. I just browsed and googled book cover posters. Let me know if you find anything awesome. You'd think that there would be a real market for these, like movie posters...

I agree you would think there would be. Even just mini size ones would be fun to put up on walls in home offices and libraries. I will let you know if I find anything cool.
http://postertext.com/ I thought these were kind of cool, Wendy. I hope it is okay to post the link here. It is book related... if it is not okay please let me know!
