Arietta came in and sighed, looking around the small room that would be her living quarters for the next five years. Over on her half of the room there was a small school desk and chair, a parting gift from her father. It was heavily loaded with all of her art supplies, still secured with tape from take off. Anxious for something to do Arietta hurried over and started peeling the sticky material off of her stuff. When she was done with the desk she unsecured her dresser, which was decorated with pictures of her and her friends and family smiling eternally out from the cutesy frames, as if there weren't a care in the world.
Lily walked in to her room, doing her best to not disturb her roommate, she took a glance at her room. Her bed just had regular cream colored sheets and pillowcase but a blanket covered with lilies. A gift from her mom and dad. Her dresser was covered with pictures of her pets and family and cheap knick knacks from Australia like postcards and magnets. Her nightstand was empty except from a stuffed animal, a snake, it was to remind her of pet snake. The last piece of furniture was a chair, stacked with her favorite books to last her years and years. On top of the pile of books was her laptop, the screen dark.
She heard a noise behind and turned calmly. Arietta was extremely relieved to see that the new arrival seemed to be someone her age. "Hi," she said quietly. But in the otherwise silent room the word carried well.
"Hi," Lily said back, her Australian accent showing. She made eye contact with Arietta and quickly broke it.
"Bye," said Arietta, feeling abrupt. But she had to get to work, so she left the room.
((Lol I just realized that she was in two places at once))

Seeing that she had nothing to do, Lily walked to the domes to get work done.
