I've got a pretty strong feeling that Meyers left the Breaking Dawn open ended so that she could continue on writing Nessie's and Jacob's story. I was wondering if anyone had any theories about how that might look.

Here are some of mine:
1) I think that it will be up to these two to keep the Volturi in check.
2) I think the other half vamp/ half human (can't remember his name) will make a play for Nessie.
3) And, sorry to say, I think we will only hear about bits and pieces of Edward and Bella's happy life.

I haven't really thought about any theories, but those sound about right. We've already seen how happy Bella and Edward are together now, so if there is a book about Nessie and Jacob, it would make sense that there's not very much Bella and Edward. Of course there would have to be some because I doubt they would completely leave their daughter's life.

Maybe Jacob and Nessie have to like stop the Volturi from destroying all of the other half 'n' half kids. That one guy (something with an "N") asked them to leave his sisters alone, but who knows if they really will.

She could bring the Cullens back in to help but still keep the main focus on Jacob and Nessie.

ohh i definitely think jacob & nessie will be in another book. the volturi will come back so someone will have to do something about it. and that would be a great way to visit all the cullens again :)

Hmmm.. it would be nice to have another book but to me it seemed like she told the story so that all the loose ends were tied up and the ending was pretty straight forward. The Volturi were really the only ones that may become an issue again but I think that it's implied that they will leave them alone for a long while and that maybe one day they'll try again but it's also implied that the Cullens are the strongest coven besides the Volturi and they have friends to call on if needed so I don't think it will come to a confrontation again anytime soon and if it does, the Cullens (and friends) can definately hold their own.

I saw an interview with Stephanie and she said if she were going to continue the story it would be from Nessie and Leah's perspectives, and about Nahuel, see the crazy thought topic and you'll see my theory!

That's a good theory, and I think we'd get to learn a little more about Leah since she's in Jacob's pack.

Well other than the book she is in the process of writting from Edwards POV, I do think she needs to make another one about all the others. What happens to Nessie and Jake. and poor Leah... I hated her at first but felt sorry for her later on. And what about Bella's mom... does she NEVER question why she hasn't seen Bella in so long? do they ever go visit her... I don't think ALL the ends were tied up but very close

IF she writes another book it would be a contiuation of Mid-night sun I'm hoping, Its sad to say that I have read it. I have a list of things that she left unanswered that would be a relief if she answered very soon, but have a big doubting look on my face as I say this, she is a very smart person and will most likely wait until these groups go dead before she gives the hint that she is going to keep writing these books. The books WILL be hard to follow up with other books in the first place, I guess I'm being morbid or just plane mean to bigger fans then me.

Renesmee--will her and Jacob always be just good friends, or something more. and it looks like we'll be seeing more of Zafrina since it looks like they will have a close friendship possibly.

imprinting does not work out like that. (but anyone can correct me if i misunderstood this concept) as of the moment, jacob does not think about nessie as his future wife because he still wants her to be happy as a kid. but their relationship is more than just friendship. it's like what happened with sam uley, emily, and leah, remember? so, nessie and jacob will be together as long as both shall live, though edward and bella does point out that jacob will have some competition seeing that their daughter is lovely beyond words. so i think there are no loose ends with this aspect. but that is just my opinion, from how i understood the concepts that were presented in the books. c",)

What if the idea of Jacob doesnt appeal to her when she is older? He imprinted on her. Not the other way around. And I remember Bella asking him once what if the women didnt want them after they imprinted and Jake said who wouldn't want to be adored in that way.
Well... maybe Nessie won't.
