What have you read lately? Anything that really caught your attention?

Stacy (wilgerfield) | 2 comments I recently finished Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. This man has yet to disappoint me. I've read three of his books and own three movies made from his stories and I love them all! He's also a wonderfully gifted narrator.

I loved Neverwhere and American Gods. I've been meaning to read Anansi Boys for some time. Some day I will get to that.

Lynne | 1 comments Right now I'm reading Starvation Lake by Bryan Gruley. Ok, so it's a mystery, but it's a good one and very atmospheric. Set in northern Michigan with a hockey background, it's as much about personal dreams and failures as it is about murder.

Stacy (wilgerfield) | 2 comments Scott mentioned at the last meeting (Mar. 1) modifying the length of the book descriptions and everyone agreed the amount of detail already being given was fine. To that discussion I'd like to add that some of the provided ancillary information, such as an author's personal history/origins, I found very interesting. I like knowing some back story on my authors, if they draw much from personal experience. I also like the videos and online trailers that get added to the mix. Variety is the spice of slide-show-life, right? I must confess, I had not ever been enticed to buy an e-reader until I saw the dramatized e-book trailer for Dracula.

Stacy,
Thanks so much for the feedback. I like the background and videos, as well. I will continue to chase down the more interesting ones.
