Ten years ago, Dr. Enrique Hale of the North-American Institute for Biological Studies set up camp along with his seven-year-old son, Marque Hale. Enrique was doing tests to see the effects of different chemicals on the native creatures and plants of Pagieža when these experiments went horribly wrong. The spider grew larger to the size of an SUV, the dryads went crazy, the wolves turned to Fenrirs, and the Venus Fly Traps also grew and gained an appetite for human flesh. The piranhas were always there. Marque alone survived.
