Any ideas for a new topic to discuss?

I feel like I've monopolized the discussion board lately with more than my share of long postings, but one line of discussion I got interested in from the last discussion topic was whether people think that we gain more insight on consciousness from philosophers or from scientists these days. Or maybe I should ask whether we gain more insight from the realm of philosohpy or from the realom of science. Obviously the two categories aren't mutually exclusive, but I'd be interested in what others think.
Well, I'm in fact taking a "Philosophy of Mind" course in the Phil. department at my school, as well as a class called "Cognitive Science and Linguistics" in Portland State's Linguistics department. It seems to me that analytic philosophers interested in this sort of area really aren't playing much more a role than critiquing the relevant scientific methodologies and foundational assumptions...that sort of thing...and rightly so, I suppose.
But, yeah, there's considerable overlap between the two still.
I suspect that engineers, and scientists who think and act like engineers, are going to be the ones making inroads here in the not-too-distant future.
