You can find this short story in other worldsI enjoyed it, but it's been awhile since I read it
Worth the read - enjoy :D
I've read it. It was the first introduction to the Were world and dragons which was nifty. And a bit of a medieval vibe to it. And also the intro into the whole arcadian/katagaria dynamic. But beyond that it was a typical short story to me. Not really moving or overtly interesting. And you don't see the characters again after this story. But still a nice sampling of SK's work.
Actually there is mention of the dragon upstairs at sanctuary - but not sure if it's one in the same
Nope it's not Carol. That's just Max. He is wanted though but not really mentioned in Dragon Swan. And I think the only way he is unique is the fact that he doesn't work down in the bar too much or talk to that many of the others. And usually always stays upstairs and doesn't leave Sanctuary. Beyond that the typical wanted were.
Oh there are Lady Vale. I think it is mentioned more than enough times that he is the only were-dragon around in the present. Particulary at Sanctuary. But I'm sure there are still some in the past though.
No prob at all. And it's no doubt hard to remember things about the dragons as they are rarely talked about in the story too much. And Max only comes down for Christmas and that time in Bad Moon Rising to help out as a bouncer. So yea it is likely hard to remember what he is about. I can only imagine they forget about him too and trip over him like a old rug up there, and be like "oh how'd this dragon rug get here?" lol.
Yea I know. I thought SK would have written about him and some of the other wanted were guys when I first began the series. But as she hasn't so much I'm totally forgetting about them as well. And I don't want to start thinking of Max as a weenie for just hiding out. But if she doesn't write him a story eventually I think I might think of him that way. I mean it is one thing to lay low. But how are you a bad ass that never leaves your home base not even once?
