Wraith jerked her muzzle. "You should mark as well. That way the other packs know there are more wolves in my pack than just me," she growled, seething at the memory of how Valor had fought her on her own territory.
Wraith stood tall, ears pricked and nose twitching, reaching out with her senses to make sure no wolves from other packs were in the area.
((i can't help it. we're the only two who are on))
Wraith relaxed slightly. "No others for miles," she told Frostfur, hackles flattening.
Wraith relaxed slightly. "No others for miles," she told Frostfur, hackles flattening.
"We're marking the territory," Wraith explained, returning her gaze to Timber. "That way other wolves know where their territory ends, so they don't trespass."
Wraith bounded up and swatted Timber's ear with a paw. "Stop being so gloomy," she ordered. "It's not healthy for a juvenile." She raised her tail jauntily.
Wraith just stared after her, puzzled. She turned to Frostfur. "Did I say something wrong?" she asked her, ears cocked.
((SORRY! The stupid little red "new" sign wasn't coming up))Frostfur shrugged, or, at least did the wolf equivalent of a shrug. "I don't think she's used to your...how can I say this...blunt leadership. I think she's used to being mothered. She's soft."
Azalea had been traveling for what felt like forever. She felt like she'd topple over from exhaustion at any moment, but her empty stomach told her not to. She'd eat first, then rest.Soon she could smell other wolves, and realized that she was not far from a pack boundary.
Perhaps they'll go on a hunt soon. She licked her chops in anticipation.
She crept closer, but remained in the shadows.
As she did so, she saw three wolves just leaving after marking the border. She waited until they had gone before walking up to the very edge of the border.
"Oopsie daisies," She smirked, lightly stepping across it.
She followed the scent of the other wolves until she saw a camp in the distance.
Perfect.
Now all she had to do was wait until the pack went hunting. She made herself comfortable in the cover of a sharp smelling bush.
((no, they're separate, sorry. the forest is part of wraith's actual territory. this is just the border))
Frostfur nudged Wraith's side with her nose. "Why don't you leave the pups to me?" she said.((lol all the pups are gonna act like Frostfur!))
"I suppose," Wraith conceded, flicking her ears. "But you will be responsible for them." She stared intently at Frostfur, eyes narrowed.
Wraith growled slightly and stepped forward. "The future of the pack is in your paws, Frostfur."
Wraith bared her fangs slightly. "This is no laughing matter," she growled. "Are you prepared to shoulder the burden of looking after the pups?"
Wraith snarled under her breath. "I see you are not mature enough for this task," she growled. "Maybe next season's pups."
"There are only two, Frostfur," Wraith growled. Without another word, she turned and padded away.
