My memoir is about teen challenges that made me suicidal, and the bad decisions I made because I had no self confidence and a poor opinion of myself.

My purpose is to try to help others with some of the things I have learned. My book is raw, rude and revealing because I aimed it toward young women who are going to understand a lot of what I share.

My story includes birth defects, addictions and family dysfunction. It includes babies, adopted, given up, and aborted. It includes husbands and divorces, and it chronicles the challenges of becoming a mother after being told I could never have children.

Everyone, and I mean everyone that has read it, and responded to me, has said, 'Wow' and many of them also said, 'You made me cry'. If anything, I hope to affect how people think about gender, sexuality and sexual orientation.

Today I am a small business owner, a singer/songwriter/performer with my band, and I have lots of various experience with business operations. I also love to play in the dirt in my gardens, write poetry and report on various topics through article writing on the web.

I love to meet new people, particularly those who have overcome some obstacle in their life.
