Kiki started to see a small speck arise in the desert, and told Haley to go faster. After a while, they saw a small store. "Stay here. I"ll be back." Kiki ran inside, and saw an old man at the counter. She looked around the old store. It looked as though it hadn't been cleaned years. Cobwebs stck at the ceiling and mold had started to grow under the wooden floorboards.
She walked up to the old man, and asked him, "What do you sell here?"

"I sell alll things young aventures need to fight sand demons in this wicked dessert." Said the man. His voice was creaky.

((This time, lets have some ACTION in this story. OK? xD How about she finds a portal into another world, where all the citizens are birds!))

What a lunatic...
She looked around the shelves of the store, and as she was goig around some more, she heard a whirring sound. She headed towards the back, to a small room. She opened the door slowly, and went inside. A blue swirling circle looked back at her, and Kiki yelped. SHe slowly put her hand through, and yanked it out. It felt as soft as a cloud. Slowly she walked into the portal.

Kiki shivered. The cloud-like substance she was walking throuh felt as cold as an icebox. She thought about turning back; but when she turned around, where the door should have been was only white cloud. She bravely turned around and kept walking.
After all, what furtue is there for me back there? Riding in a sutffy car for hours and hours?
She kept walking. After what seemed like hours, but was actaully a few minutes, the cloud-stuff parted. Kiki stepped out onto a beautiful meadow. It was flat, she noticed.
Very flat.
Boulders as big as houses were stacked atop each other, and laid throughout the big meadow. Spindley bridges connected some of the stone towers to one another. Tall, thin poles stuck fifty feet up in the air and ended with huge steel circels. Those remindd Kiki of the tiny sticks children held in thier hands and blew bubbles through.
Except these were much, much, bigger.
Circles of flame floated in the air all over the place. Kiki wondered, How are they floating?
Deadly spikes that looked like enlarged thorns were stuck into the ground.
What is this place? Kiki wondered in amazment.
