I love The Lord of the Rings, A Tale of Two Cities, The Three Musketeers, and The Count of Monte Cristo. The Lord of the Rings is my favorite though. I like the friendship between Frodo and Sam. It's also really intense. It can still be heart-pounding at times.
I like Narnia, Watership Down, Princess Paisley, and The Princess Bride.
I like the Maximum Ride series, the Percy Jackson series, the Books of Bayern, Jane Erye, Fahrenheit 451, etc. There are way too many to count.
I need to read Percy Jackson. I haven't heard of Books of Bayern. I should read Maximum Ride though too. What are The Books of Bayern about?
I started Jane Erye, but it was boring. My friend Katy is reading Maximum Ride too.
They're by Shannon Hale, a really really good Fantasy series. Here is the link to the first one on Goodreads, because I stink at summarizing books: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...
Would a girl like Connor's sister like it?
That's a good one! I've read The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring; haven't gotten around to the other ones yet.
I liked the Hobbit, but not the Lord of the Rings. Either there is to much talking or not enough.
The movies are way better. I don't like Arwen in the special extended version. Who cares if she chose a mortal life? NOT ME!!!
I like...
-Percy Jackson
-Lord of the Rings + The Hobbit
-39 Clues
-Artemis Fowl (the whole series)
-Deltora Quest
-Companions Quartet
-The Wilderking Series.
There's a bunch more but i can't seem to remember.

I like the Hobbit, but not the Lord of the Rings books.

Welcome to the group and have fun!
Do you think we should make a poll to see what book we'll read for April?
that's what I think. I think that would be easiest.
I will close the nomination topic on the 19th and create a poll that day. I will broadcast a reminder on the 18th to remind everyone to get their nominations done before it's too late.
You haven't nominated anything yet. You can nominate a book or second an already nominated book. Do it in the Nominations so far topic though.

Ooh, Artemis Fowl! Yes!
I love the Maze Runner, Unwind, Everlost, and Graceling. Just a few. :)
Watership Down. (if I haven't already made that clear:))

And it's funny too!
And it's funny too!
I've heard of them before. Never actually planned on reading them.
They're hilarious. At first glance they're a bit childish, but once you get farther into the series you can't look away.
Nope, haven't read it yet, but I have read the new Percy Jackson book, the Lost Heroes? The Red Pyramid is on my list (mainly because Stargate has made me fascinated with egyptian stuff). :P
I really need to get "The Lost Hero" and "The Red Pyramid". My friend is somewhere international and she's already read both of them!
