Xena walked up to the edge of the lake and let her towel fall away from her body. It landed softly in the grass. She was wearing a jet black one piece with silver stripes on the sides. She stretched her arms and legs and took a deep breath, then dove into the water.

She resurfaced and began swimming butterfly; she needed to practice.

Mark sat down by the lake. There was a girl in it. He waved at her for a moment, not wanting to be rude, and returned to what he was doing; he was sending his sister, Bonnie, a text. So bored. Mom + dad called earlier and said hi. Theyre so embarrasing

Xena saw Mark and smiled at him. She slowed down and sat down in the shallower waters of the lake, breathing deeply.
