Stacey (ok, I am not sure how we are doing this, since I have never posted on a group before, but thought I would try!)

Just finished my first book of our challenge, The Sentimentalists by Johanna Skibsrud. I have now crossed off number 1 (prize winner - it was a Giller winner) and number 4 (debut novel).

I honestly did not enjoy it much at all. It was a bit all over the place, the story never got very interesting and I felt like I was wiating for something to happen. It was well written, but bored me...

1) Read a book which is a prize winner of some kind.
The Sentimentalists - Johanna Skibsrud

2) Read a book that is a new release published in March, April or May of this year..

3) Read a book that is a part of a series.

4) Read an author's debut novel.
The Sentimentalists - Johanna Skibsrud

5) Read a book set in a foreign country.

6) Read a book which is a book-in-verse, a graphic novel or epistolary (written in a form of a diary, letters, notes, etc.).

7) Read a book written from a male POV.

8) Read 3 books that belong to 3 different genres of your choosing. You can pick from: science fiction, fantasy, paranormal, dystopia, mystery, urban fantasy, chick lit or horror.

Stacey I have read a dystopian book now too, Bumped by Megan McCafferty.... it was, meh. Loved the concept, but the writing was not fabulous. Geared towards teens and was noticable that it was...

One left to do!!
