I don't know if this group is just for your 6th grade class or if anyone can comment, but you can kick me off if you want. I just wanted to suggest an author that I think you would all love. Her name is Ann Rinaldi. I recently read 2 of her books and intend to find and read them all sometime. They are The Coffin Quilt: The Feud Between the Hatfields and the McCoys and The Fifth of March: A Story of the Boston Massacre. Her books are very interesting and easy to read. They also have stories about Americans who built this country and are usually told by children or young adults. Good luck with your new group and KEEP READING!
