Russell Meek | 1 comments Hi everyone,

I am new to Goodreads. I have just written the first in a series of four fantasy novels, and am trying to get the word out there. I am hoping it's a series of books that readers will love to get lost in, set in a collapsing world and full of intrigueing characters, plots within plots, deception, betrayal and despair. (bit of humour too..) It's intended to be real, gritty and happy endings are not my intention.

The book is called 'The Madness of Hallen', the series is called 'the Khalada Stone series'.

Brief Synopsis

Half a millenia ago, the mind of Husam al-Din was ripped apart and scattered beyond the borders of the known lands. Though secured by bloody war, the peaceful legacy he brought has begun to collapse, and the world once again starts a slow descent into chaos. Against all who betrayed him, al-Din will be forced to reclaim those who survived. There are none who can prevent his return, but there are three who would control him. All that stands in their way is their own sanity, and everyone they love.

The Madness of Hallen is the first of four epic novels in the Khalada Stone series, following the lives of two brothers in their quest against the rightful heir to the mind of Husam al-Din.

The book is self published, the website link to it is www.thekhaladastone.com You can go online and read the prologue and first two chapters.

GOODREAD members deal - It is only available to buy online through the store on the site. Add GOODREADS onto the 'Sign my book' page, and I will refund NZ$10 from your purchase price (Normally NZ$39.95). I am based in New Zealand, so there is a postal charge, but I have an incentive for people who help me promote it to help in reducing those costs, so you end up paying only for postage.

All books are signed and a personal message can be given if it is a gift for someone, other wise it will say 'for (your first name)' and signed.

I look forward to hearing comments and feedback, and getting invloved in the goodreads groups.
