On November 1, The Guardian will be released.

From Sherri's Facebook page: "Coming Fall 2011, the Dream-Hunters are going into the Nether Realm to free D'Alerian (they hope)..."

Oh sweet. I seen this on her page but it didn't have any info up at the time. Hope this will bring about some interesting changes for the dream-hunters. :)

I wonder if this is going to divulge more information pertaining to the 'relation' between M'Adoc and Nick aside from the fact that I think he is his dad because Menyara said his dad's name was Adarian and we all know Adarian is M'Adoc's real name. And with that thought how does he go from being an imprisoned dead Malachi to one of the head Oneroi? But if D'Alerian is in the Nether Realm can't Thorn just help him out and let him goes? Or Hades even since he is married to D'Alerian's sister? He's gotta have some kind of pull being the God of the Underworld and all.

@ Rin... wow that was all too insightful to get my head sround right now. I think I need to reread the Dream Hunter book (was that Megara's book - the first time we meet Tory?)

But just had to give a Woot-woot at seeing you over at Dark Hunters!!! Love this series too!

Haha ... yes indeed it is a bit insightful but if I didn't post it when I taught it I would have completely forgot it later. LoL! And yes Megara's book is the first appearance with Tory and she is only 15. Which I think should be read after Night Embraced instead of Dark Side of the Moon because the Epilogue opens up the beginnings for Dance with the Devil and Kiss of the Night. But that is just my opinion because if it is read after Ravyn's book Ash is only 4 more after that and since Tory is his chica it kinda threw me when I first started reading it because I was like gasp she is only 15 but Kenyon makes her to be in her 20s. SO when I re-read the series later down the road I will be reading in my order and not the proper.

Whoa where have I been that it was said that M'Adoc's real name is Adarian? And what is up with all the D'Alerian? I'm lost and confuzzled. Life raft any one? lol

It was in Arikos book (The Dream Hunter) just before they were going through what the letters ment before each of their names on page 286 ...Arik frowned as D'Alerian used M'Adoc's real name, Adarian. And as far as D'Alerian goes as far as we know he is still being held by Noir and Azura. Or at least that was how things were left in Jericho's book. How he ends you in the Nether Realm has yet to be discovered. Hope this helps.

Damn I'll have to do a massive re-read on dream hunter. Cause admittedly that was another one that bored me to tears. So I likely missed these crucial tid bits. Thanks for the refresher Rin.

@DH sadly, I'm ashamed to say that I need a dream hunter reread to... I wasn't into it either.

Thanks Ladies but the only reason I recall it so well is because I just recently read the entire series in like a 2 week time span. I found The Dream Hunter a bit weird myself because it didn't really fall into the DH realm to my liking however I feel we did meet some interesting new characters like Tory. If not for this book we would not have any back story for her. And I also think the placement in the series lineup is wrong like I mention before. But that's just me.

Ah then your secret is out Rin, lol. But that is still pretty good pin pointing the details like that. Mostly I can do the same if the story is interesting enough. But I don't know what happened between the first dream-hunter short story and the later dream-hunter books but they lost a life for me. I like the additional info and characters. But the main story at times is yawn worthy.

And I could be mistaken about the book timeline but I recall AlbertaJean mentioning that Dream-Hunter was meant to be at the beginning of the series I think after DragonSwan. But can't quite be sure. But I do believe she said we were to learn about Tory much sooner than we did.

The Dark-Hunter books take place in real-time, starting in 2001. You can see events like Hurricaine Katrina (Dark Side of the Moon).

Dark-Hunter takes place in 1990, when Tory is just a kid. It is the only one that is out of sync with the timeline of the rest of the series.

May have to change the title if we can't figure it out!

Changed the title of the thread to reflect that it is actually book 21, if you count fantasy Lover as book 1, and don't count Fear the Darkness as an actual book (I think of it as an in-between short story).

Oh hell yeah!!! I'm suuuper excited about that book! I found out that Jaden has a major part in it so I'm up on the freakin' wall. I can't wait 5 years (or something) for his book god damn it !I wanna know all of his secrets ...now! And i also like that SK is puting some Egyptian pantheion characters in the mix. The Egyptian pantheon has always been my all time favourite.
So 11/1/2011 you better come already!

Weeeeeelllll....alrighty then :) So our guardian is Seth and what he guards is Azmodea and the prisoners in it soooo guess who is the most valuble prisoner that Azura has to feed from ....that's right Jaden! Aaaand who is our hero's best and only friend - Jaden! Which means that there will be lots of interactions between the two , you know swaping life stories , some man tears....And I will be damned if there isn't some Jaden POV! Oh yeah and some staff member confermed that too...I don't really know who he is and I don't care as long as he has some insights to share cuz right now I'm willing to grab on the thinnest straw!
Oh and if that SOB is spilling wrong info I might be forced to summon the bastard and ask him myself! I might have some problems with acquiring deamon blood but I think my boss might be one...

OK, I'm a little frustrated. When I first saw the Guardian page on the new SK website right after it went up, Jared was listed as being in The Guardian along with Jaden. I just checked the Guardian page to see if anything new was up and Jared has been taken off. ARGH! I was so excited for Guardian to come out and get more of Jaden and Jared, now no Jared! Sniff! Sob!

Wow, we were posting at the same time! I'm with you, I'm just anxious for the tiniest Jaden tidbit. Can't wait to read Guardian and learn more about him. The new hero, Seth, sounds interesting also.

Yeah I'm sort of frustraited myself :D When I was reading Dream Warrior when Jaden said to Asmodeus "Take that to Jericho and tell him to free my. . .(I was screaming YOUR WHAAAAT!!).....to free Jared (I was like OH NO YOU DIDN'T DAMN IT!) :d

Oh that was the worst cliff hanger of all Tempi. I was all "Your What?" Too, lol. I think in my mind that really cemented the whole potential lovers thing for me. But most likely will be brother in Guardianship or something like that.

I'm thinking brothers or father/son myself.

The whole cliffhanger thing is why I'm somewhat frustrated now about Guardian. I just *knew* that since they were both in Dream Warrior that she would continue with both in Guardian.

Well don't always have to have both physically in the same story to learn more. After all Jaden could still talk to Seth about some past events or whatever or he can even have memories that we learn from.

I just finished re-reading Dream Warrior (for the second time) and was also screaming "YOUR WHAT DAMMIT?" lol.
I really can't wait to see what their relationship really is. Brothers/lovers who knows. I don't really mind what they are to eachother but I can't wait to find out.
After re-reading this series AGAIN, I have finally separated Jaden and Jared. Before I would always get confused between the two. But I think I've got it now lol.
So excited to read this book.

Yea, I actually think it is pretty easy to tell them apart. As I will forever have the image of Ash, Takeshi, and Jaden, playing Xbox or whatever game console that was early in the morning with that little kid. It was so classic. Cause we know 3 out of the 4 are tough ass fighters for real. But it was so damn cute and sweet they were all playing the game with that kid and letting HIM kick their butts on it. It was so awwwwwwwwww for me, lol. And yea Jared just the freaking mind reading guy that even Stryker felt compassion for when he saw how mean his wifey and daughter were to the guy. Kind of hard to forget that too.

Hahahaha yeah Jaden loves video games. I remeber reading Acheron's blog he said that Jaden called him one day and said to him "Hey man, you can play a god. Create your own race." I was like LOOOOOOL X-D

Yeah! The first time I read the series I read them a little out of order so got very confused. Pretty easy to tell the dofference now though lol.
Love the video game scene too. So funny that they all take a break from being BAD ASS's to play a little boy on a video game lol. Loved that!
I'm not sure why but I kind of hope that J+J are a couple. Too me, in the few scenes we have seen of them together, their connection seems very deep. Neither have hinted as to what they are to eachother. Just seems like lovers to me. But hey it could be anything. I really like both characters so whatever they are, they obviously care for eachother very much. That's enough for me!

I really hope that Jaden gets freed in this book but it probably won't happen untill the war with Noir and Azura is over (and that would be atleast 3 books more) Untill then he would be the insider for the good guys. The question is who is the insider for the bad guys? Noir said that they (the good guys) don't even realise who might be and I really have this feeling that this person is Madoc cuz of his relation to Nick The Prick. And I don't think that even Madoc knows he is going to help Noir and Azura.

I believe the insider for the bad guys is Nick. He has all that Malachai stuff going on. And from what I can gather they were part of the whole construct that is the universe for Gods, demons, and people in general. So sort of one of the greatest weapons somebody like Noir and Azura can have if they could manipulate him just right. But at the same time I get a feeling the Malachai has always been uncontrollable and with it being Nick this time around, he is definitely going to be a wild card.

I still think is Madoc cuz our guys know that the Malachai is a tool of evil and know that he may join Noir at some point. After all Ash did send 9 Dogs Of War just to guard him. And when Nike talked to Madoc about a god that wants to take Zeus's place and have Aphrodite as his bride, she sense that Madoc is hiding something.

I'm not sure about Madoc being the spy but I am dying to know about the Madoc - Nick connection. Talk about a cliff hanger!!

I second your thoughts Denise. And I'll have to re-skim Dream Warrior on that part of things Tempi as I didn't recall anything about someone wanting Aphrodite as their bride outside of Hephaeteus. Hmmm. Either way though, some shit is going to hit the fan when the Gods find out that the Dream-Hunters are getting their emotions back in general though. Not going to be a good day.

I mean a were/dream hunter combo? Who would have figured that. And on top of that a were species that shouldn't even exist anymore oh man can't wait til Nov. 1. :D

Oh I know. Although I think it might be that Seth guy. Heck I was just all around surprised by that little blurb in general that Solin was actually acting as a fatherly figure for somebody. Considering the fact he didn't seem to like anybody. Just totally unexpected. And I'm sure once it is closer to Nov. there will be the first 2 chapter released. So can't wait for that either. :)

I do have a quick question... Who is Seth? I have just finished a re-read up to No mercy and feel a little silly that I don't remember him! But I haven't read Retribution yet, so was he introduced in that? Or am I just that forgetful? :)

He is a new character. But someone said he is friends with Jared. So he could be another type of God or something.

He is friends with Jaden actually. And yes Lydia is half dream - hunter/ half ware-hunter. Seth is the illegitimate son of the Egyptian god Set (god of deserts, storms , chaos and all kinds of nasty shit)The Guardian is going to be right up in there with Dance With The Devil and Acheron in terms of heart-breaking main hero story.
