After Mir/Shardik dies, the ka-tet finds a group of small robots wearing a track into the ground from going around in endless circles. Anyone think this might have been foreshadowing to the end of the series?

But I always thought if they were wearing a track for 10,000 years (possibly) It should have been a very deep trench instead of a track.
Random thoughts:Oy really shouldn't work because this was obviously King trying to incorporate a 'cute' creature into the story, but damn if I still don't love that bumbler.
I always wish we would have seen more training sessions with Roland and Eddie/Susannah.
I still get furiously angry when Gasher is beating on Jake when he's forcing him to run through Lud.
I couldn't wait for Gasher to get what was coming to him, even after all the other times I've read The Waste Lands.
Dan wrote: "Oy's great. He seemed lame at first glance but now I like him more than Susannah."Me too!
Also, near the end when Roland faces down Blaine and Eddie says something like, "You better look out! They used to call him the Mad Dog of Gilead!" Is one of my favorite bits from the whole series.
I think this gets brought up again later in the series but that is a huge continuity error about Henry being an injured Vietnam vet in Drawing of Three, yet in Waste Lands, it's 1977 and Henry hasn't joined the army yet.

DC Comics did something similar with Superboy Prime punching the walls of the universe prior to Infinite Crisis.

Isn't that how they explained Jason Todd coming back from the dead? Weak...

Indeed. It was pretty weak. I didn't mind Superboy going nuts and punching the heads off of several Teen Titans, though.

What's the woe multiple layered story had so much going on in this volume like reading couple of different stories and not getting bored. That really a skilled writer, so many writers when they get to 3rd or 4th in a series just let us down King surpasses that.
BTW do you think the M Grant Limited signed are going to get even more expensive as time goes by. If you have whole collection same numbered edition crazy prices.

I am really looking forward to the Magician in the next volume.I loved whole idea of The Dark Tower so much that these are my first reads, after reading gunslinger and owning limited edition with drawings was putting off getting into it. So now the journey has really begun!
Let's hope there no disappointments in following volumes as King's wriing has yet to disappoint me.

I wish I had the signed Grant editions.
I wouldn't say there are any real disappointments in the later books, although a lot of people seem to hate Wizard and Glass.
