Melissa Foster (melissa_foster) | 2 comments Many thanks for allowing me to share this opportunity with you.

I'm a GoodReads author (Megan's Way was my debut), and I'm the founder of the Women's Nest, a free social and support site for women which, amongst other things, hosts a book club.

On the Women's Nest we work very hard to promote others, and with the fast changing publishing industry, we're now offering a special sponsor advertising rate to authors of only $20 for 15 days. The 15 days will run from the 1-15 of the month or 16-30 of the month.

We are only accepting THREE advertising spots each day, and this is what is being offered for the $20 (all are included):

DISPLAY AD: A picture of your book cover that links to your book on Amazon on our homepage, as well as on every forum page we have (hundreds of pages). We will utilize our Amazon affiliate link. Advertisements will be the first three images in the right column on the homepage and the forum pages.

FULL PAGE: A separate page dedicated to your book that will remain active for at least one month. The page will including a description and an Amazon link, as well as a link to your website, Facebook, and Twitter pages (if you provide them). You may also provide reviews for this page. All information for
this page, with the exception of the Amazon link, must be provided by the author.

FACEBOOK/TWITTER EXPOSURE: When your book is advertised, it will also be announced on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

We expect to begin posting ads March 16, 2011.

If interested, please contact Melissa Foster:
thinkhappygirl(at)yahoo(dot)com

We accept payment by Paypal.

Many thanks, and write on, my friends!

Hi Melissa, me again!!
Just popped over to Women's Nest and wondering if you can give me any stats as to how many followers you have, how many hits you get a day...that sort of thing.
I look forward to your reply.

Melissa Foster (melissa_foster) | 2 comments Hi Grace,

We currently have over 2800 members, and are growing daily. I removed the stat trackers after we had been established for one year and had reached over 7000 hits/mo. The Nest is not a profit making endeavor, it's a free community for women that is my way of giving back to the women of the world. My husband and I are the sole financial support for the site and we take no income from the Nest. None of our contributors are paid, either, and we will likely never turn a profit. This community was developed to help others, and we're merely expanding that from helping women as part of the community to reaching out to authors and helping the writing community stay visible in our ever-changing world. Our ads are very, very cheap - cheaper than you'll find anywhere, I'm almost certain. The reason we are offering the ads to authors is to promote the writing community in an affordable way. As an author, I know the value in these promotions. You gain not only exposure from the Women's Nest, but you reap the benefits of the daily adverstisments that we run to promote the Nest. We have content ads all over the Internet.

In this day and age it is very rare to find people who are truly interested in doing things to promote others rather than for profit--We believe in giving back, and that's what we're doing. The minimal ad fees go directly toward the maintenance for the Women's Nest, making it a win-win for authors and for the women of the world.

Thanks for checking us out:-)

Melissa
