Camille (camlovesraptors) | 802 comments Hello everyone.

I discovered this new website where you can post hard copies of books you are willing to part with, and look for copies of books you want to read. It's essentially book swapping, but you rack up points for each book you send, and use those points to pick out other books so you don't have to do a one to one swap with another member.

www.bookmooch.com is the address, and for you Rachel, they have international options!

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) Hi Camille - I've been using BookMooch for a couple of years now and yes, it is excellent! I'm taking a break from it right now just because March has been a rather tight month moneywise, but it's a great way for me to get Christian books that are difficult to find in this country. Pretty much all of my Beverly Lewis novels came from there :)

Kristy (riverunbroken) | 250 comments I use paperbackswap, but unfortunately it's only for the US.

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) We have something like PBS in the UK, called ReaditSwapit. It's great that there's so many places to get second-hand books! :) I think I prefer the point-system on BookMooch to swapping book-for-book but they're still both great ideas.

Kristy (riverunbroken) | 250 comments PBS you get credits, so you can use them whenever you want to. It's great!

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) Ooh, I didn't know that. Lucky you! BookMooch has been so handy over the last few years - I've got lots of my favourite Christian books and kids books (I collect the Babysitters Club, I know, I'm a dork) as well as some army books for my dad, Debbie Macomber novels for my mum and the occasional obscure sci-fi book for my little brother. But postal prices keep going up each year so it's getting to the stage where sometimes Amazon Marketplace is a cheaper for certain books.
