O, For Pete's Sake discussion

Dear all, it is March 15, and I have to confess, i have only finished the first book of Don Quixote. This means I have read approximately half of the work.

I have started several discussion threads... I am hoping this will provide those who are done a chance to interact, and encourage those who are still reading.

Where are you?
Should we extend the deadline?
Or, should we let the book club move on with selecting a new work and those who want to finish Don Quixote and continue to discuss it can do so?

Please feel free to share your thoughts whether or not you have been reading Don Quixote.

PS. I AM GOING TO FINISH! and while i would be fine with the club making its next selection, i will not be able to lead it.

Hmm... not a resounding response. I think I will extend it to the end of the month, AND start a thread to pick the next book.

I'm only about 30% done. I am really enjoying what I have read so far, I've just been super busy with the kids. I'd love to extend to the end of the month.

Confession time: I have just not had time to get this book done. It's been interesting reading all your comments, but I've been dreadfully parasitic by just learning from you all and not contributing. So, I am just going to bow out for now, and join in on the next book.

It is April 2nd and I am still reading Don Quixote! With 650 pages down, I still have 300 pages to go!

I will post questions today under this Don Quixote tab. But I may not answer all of them myself until I am finished. Other readers coming behind should feel free to add to the discussion at any time. Comments will still kick out to all the members and serve to enrich us, even if they aren't as timely as we'd like.

You can finish! Join in with those of us who are determined to be able to answer the last question by completing the book!

I am DETERMINED to finish! I just got another 3 weeks from the library. I am around page 750, and I WILL not abandon it now to have to re-read the entire thing to have the achievement of finishing! I am trying to knock down at least 3 chapters a day. Some are easier than others.....

The discussion questions will stay posted indefinitely, so if you are still working on it, you can reply at any time.

I am hoping someone will step up to lead the next book!
