Lately, I've been snacking on those thin little rice crackers with tamari on them. Salty and good. Oh, and soaked almonds. (Have you tried soaking almonds for a few hours? It makes them sweet and crunchy, but in a softer way than hard almonds. Kind of wakes you up if you're in a slow part of a book. :)

Toni (tvsweeney) | 17 comments Since I'm on a (mostly) liquid diet, I usually have a cup of V8, "Green" juice, carrot juice, or pomegranite juice. Right now, I'm eating spinach, carrot, and potato crisps. Soy crisps are good, too.

Addicted2Luv | 1 comments I never eat while I read. Not enough hands. I keep ice water beside me.

Arlette | 25 comments never ever snack, not good for the figure. I'm five feet seven inches, I'm two shy of 80 and I still wear size 4 in skirts and 8 in slack. I need the 8 for the length, but I always have to have the waist taken in.

I've maintained the same weight for over 50 years. So my mentra is never snack.

One meal a day is all I need.

Lady of the Lake Well, although I should strive to be like Arlette, I am weak! LOL But I keep my snacking to LIGHTLY SALTED RICE CAKES (Quaker brand) They are crumbly but leave no stains on the books (cause that is wrong!) and they don't need any thought given to eating them...so all my attention can be given to my reading! But I think I will cut them out all together so I can be as beautiful as Arlette one day! Your book sounds fascinating and it is definitely on my TBR mountain! I am glad I read your post so I found out about your book!

Arlette | 25 comments Hi Elizabeth:

I finally got around to reading this. You are so sweet to say such kind things about me.

I've never tried salted rice cakes. If I do snack which I seldom do I usally have a tiny piece of cheese. I have a very small stomach and it doesn't take much to fill me up. If I eat lunch I can't eat dinner because I'm still full from lunch, so I seldom eat lunch. Not unless one of my beautiful daughters-in=law or my daughter invite me out to lunch, and then I usually have a small dinner salade.
I've never been very fond of food. It bores me, I'd rather be doing almost anything but eating.
See how strange I am?
Love hearing from you
Arlette

CJ - It's only a Paper Moon (bookewyrm) | 3 comments Depends on the book. It can be anything from a slice of pizza to a piece of candy. I think the weirdest thing I've eaten while reading (certainly not the weirdest thing I've ever eaten) would be olives and cheese. That is something you definitely do not want getting on your books!

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) I am probably a wierd reader in the sense that I don't really snack while I read, but I watch tv...lol. My mother was like how can you do two thing at once and I was like it easy..hehehe.

Carter | 6 comments When I read a really interesting book I usually dont end up eating whatever I was going to snack on. I usually eat Cheez-Its or Goldfish. Sometimes I snack on gummies but if I find something I want to snack on like Carr's crakers and cheese that could possibly get my book messy then I try to keep one hand for holding the book and the other for eating. Turning the page is another story...

Arlette | 25 comments I usually do all of my reading at night when I go to bed. During the day I'm too busy doing research on my fifth book, and of course writing on the book, so I don't have time to read. I ususally sit at my computer for about three or four hours writing, then my poor old eyes get too tired so I have to quit. Then I go downstairs and watch TV. I watch a little of the news, then I do my favorite thing, I watch an old movie, and I do mean old. The ones I saw when I was growing up back in the 1930s and 40s. I have over 1,300 old movied in my collection, some dating back as far as 1932. I've put most of them on DVD now. I have almost every John Wayne movie he ever made from his bit parts, to his first big role in Stagecoach. Same with Bette Davis, Gary Cooper, Greta Garbo and so many others. My favorite is Audrey Hepburn, of course she became famous in the 1950s and I have all of her movies. Since I was a professional high fashion model for about 40 years, and I was the same height, weight and mesurmants as her I could always relate to her. Didn't look like her, but I sure wish I did. Also she was just a year older than I so we had a lot in common.
I can watch a different movie every night until I die and I doubt I'd watch the same movie twice. Finally when I crawl into bed for the night I read a good book until my eyes get so tired I can't sleep, then it's good-night.
