I loved the third one, I'm starting book 1 now. I don't know how I've managed to botch 2 of her series by just picking things up. You sould try the Wallflowers and then the Hathaways. I think you'd like those.
I am tempted to try them, but just haven't. Sometimes I don't think it is fair to the books when they out things that I don't care for to start with for me to try them. It makes me already not that happy to pick them up, so I start reading with a black mark against the book.
I loved the third one the best. I got it at a clearence not realizing that it was a trilogy. I've been thinking of reading it again. I've read the Hathaway series, but not the Wallflower one. I loved the second one in the Hathaway series best.
That was my fav. Hathaway book too.
I'm reading Sugar Daddy. It's odd. You almost get this girls entire life. I'm almost 200 pages in and she hasn't even met the man that's mentioned on the back cover. Granted, I know who she ends up with having read the wrong book first, but ...
I'm enjoying it, it just seems different because of the fact that you get to see her grow up.

Mine was Poppy's because I didn't expect it to be that good and it surprised me. I wanted Beatrix's to be better. You'll have to let me know how her contemps are overall after reading a few. I'm so wary of contemps in general but I like her as an author.
I know Darcy doesn't like historical, but if she likes Kleypas' style, she might be surprised. Especially if she reads some of the ones with more humor in them. The historical aspect of her books aren't the forefront or main focus imo.
I've cried twice so far. I think I'm just sleepy and therefore easier to get to tonight, but the little girl is adorable.

I found the writing style of the first book to be quite different than the last two. It caught me a bit off guard also!
So, I'm really disappointed that there's no book 4. She says she might write it one day, but right now it's not on the current agenda of books to be written. Can I growl or something over that fact?
At least she hasn't said no to writing it. I guess she didn't expect it to be longer than a trilogy, but everyone keeps hounding her about it so she has it down as a maybe some day.
I recently re-read Sugar Daddy and Blue-Eyed Devil. I picked them up again on a whim and wasn't disappointed the second time around I even rated book 2 higher on my second read! I loved all three of these books and have to say it was very disappointing to hear she wouldn't finish with all of the Travis siblings!
Ya. You had me worried there because I had a small sliver of hope. Although, when authors say "not now" it generally means the odds are low unless they run out of ideas. The pressure is so much bigger if they wait 5 years for the next one. Although, I like these so much better than the Harbor series.
The Harbor series has been making me really leery. The whole idea behind the story just doesn't grab me.It's true when authors say not now and wait for more then one year the series usually ends there.
They're just blah. They aren't horrible, but there's nothing catchy about them. They don't stand out in any way.
They're just feeding of the loyal fans, huh? Personally I don't like reading average or bellow average books no matter if they're my favorite author.
I don't remember, Darcy.
I don't know if that was her intent Shera, but it's lacking some of the humor from the other books.

I've heard some strange things about Rainshodow Road. That LK throws in some wierd supernatural stuff half way through that doesn't really have any place in the book.
It's kind of random ...I don't even remember, but it's kind of in the general area of things just somehow work out. Nothing too supernatural, just a random tug here or there. Unless I've completely mixed the series up with another.
