I know there's a lot of the TOB 2011 to go, but posting a discussion of each contest was too depressing for me considering my poor bracket.

So, I thought I'd ask - what's everyone reading next?

For me, the TOB presented a heavier slate of readings than I normally read. (I've been in the pattern of one classic, one nonfiction, one fluff piece for a couple years now.) I need to recover. Jumping back into that pattern, Jane Eyre, Baseball in the Garden of Eden, and then (maybe) Light Boxes by Shane Jones.

Leah (lccushman) | 3 comments Jamie, I loved Light Boxes, but while it's slim and goes fast, there are some heavy concepts in there. I believe I cried a couple times while reading it. Just something to ponder. :-)

As for me, I'm thinking about reading the new Kate Atkinson (Started Early, Took My Dog) next. I love me some Jackson Brodie! I figure that will go fast, and then I'm pondering The Ask, The Illumination, The Surrendered, and maybe a David Mitchell or two.

Ed (edzafe) | 168 comments My next read will likely be ToB inspired. I had read 4 going into the competition (Freedom, Super Sad, Room, and Particular Sadness) and reading one right now (Goon Squad). Two more were already on my to-be-read list (Skippy Dies and So Much For That) and now, thanks to ToB, interested in three more (Kapitoil, Next, and Model Home).

However, I am sooo easily distracted from my to-be-read list there's no saying how many I will actually end up getting to and besides, have to start reading potential 2012 nominees (Swamplandia? Tiger's Wife?), right?! But given the first round, 'Next' might be, appropriately enough, next.
