Should abortions be permitted, either completely or circumstantially?

No, I do not think that abortion should be permitted at all. It should be illegal because you are killing someone.

It should be allowed, with a limit per woman. I mean, it's going to happen whether it's legal or not, but this way it can be regulated so it's a bit safer, at least :/ Not to mention, it's the woman's body, she should be able to do what she wants with it.

And, specifically at LBS: What if the woman has a health condition that would prevent her from having a successful pregnancy, or would most likely end in her death if she went into labor?

It's no more killing than scrapping your knee, imo.

Yeah it's not killing a person, it is killing an unthinking clump of cells... It's completely fine and should be legal it's a lot better then having a mother die or some kid get abandoned by his parents.

This is a complex subject, and we do have issues over the balance of population vs resources at a global level. My personal view is to limit it to certain circumstances, medical perhaps.

I dunno. Abortion is a touchy subject with me.

While everything in my being wants to scream out, ABORTION IS WRONG, I would much rather a woman have an abortion than bring a child into the world and not take proper care of it.

And to most women, abortion is their only hope at continuing a normal life.

Another thing about abortion. A fetus is technically not a person yet, it is part of the woman's body. Doesn't she have the right to do with her body what she wants?

rather than banning or legalizing abortion, we should try to find out and eradicate reasons/things that cause people to go for abortion :)

The main reasons for abortion that I've heard of are

-Inconvenience [having a kid can ruin or postpone a lot of goals and dreams women may have]

-Money [they can't afford to take care of a kid].

How do you think we could go about "eradicating" those reasons for abortion?

make sure those who don't want children don't get pregnant. and making sure that such ppl take precautionary measures every time they hv unprotected sex.

we know how societies have fought epidemic diseases by mass movements, by instilling certain habits in ppl. That kind of movement would be effective in eradicating reasons :)

Good point, too often we treat the symptoms without looking at the cause.
