I am reading: Parenting Without Power Struggles: Raising Joyful, Resilient Kids While Staying Cool, Calm and Connected

This last weekend, I found myself getting into a power struggle with my three year old kids, so on Sunday night, I downloaded this to my iPad.

So far, it is pretty good, but I do get a little annoyed by the know-it-all tone of most parenting books, but there is certainly some good information about connecting with my kids and making sure I am the captain of the ship---calm and confident.

I am about 45% done.

I am also and have been reading "The Hangman's Daughter." I am just not getting into it. I might quit reading it.

I just finished reading "Shooter" a story of a top marine sniper. It was a great book. For the last 30 or so pages that i read he was talking about going home and retiring. When he got home he wasn't for some reason very shocked. I think he was expecting it. I am completely done and I am going to be looking for another book in the same genre.

In the book "eclipse" by Stephanie Meyer, Bella is now more comfortable with the fact Jacob is a wearwolf. Edward, however, tends to get more jelous the more Bella wants to be with Jacob. Also, Jacob and his Pack i growing larger because an army of new-born vampires is coming to forks because their leader, Victoria, is after Bella and the Cullens. So now Jasper Cullen must teach the rest of his family and the wolf pack how to fight new-borns so they can protect Bella, and their families. I have read 434 pages and I really like Jacob.

I am reading "Catching Fire" Catching Fire the second book of "The Hunger Games" series. Its a very good book, it's about Katniss Everdeen who is the main character for the first book too. She has just won the hunger games and now the president of Panem (the countrty she lives in) is trying to kill her because there was only supposed to be 1 person to win the hunger games but she was going to kill herself and the other person by poisoning each other but they ended the games before they killed themeselves.

I am reading . I normally don't read books with titles that have something to do with spells but this is a Prequel to to the private series. In my book this week Eliza and Theresa were fighting in the woods when a branch fell and knocked Catherine into a raven. She hit her head on a rock and died suddenly. Eliza and Theresa are shocked and are trying to figure out what to do. Eliza thinks they should do 'The Life out of Death Spell' but they haven't decided yet. The book has been a little weird so far because its about girls who find spell books in a basement and use the spells. The action and suspense have started picking up now so I am excited to keep reading.
I am on page 222 out of 303.

I am reading Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I am really liking this book. Im at the part where he mets Mut, who goes to Indy saying that Indy needs to help him rescue his mom and Indy's friend, Ox. I am on page 101 of 400

I am reading A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks. It is about a family, Miles and Sarah with their son Jonah. Sarah died in a car accident and now Miles is struggling to raise Jonah on his own. I just started this book and I'm on page 23. I like that I have a feeling this book is going to be interesting. I am also reading Family Blessings by LaVyrle Spencer. It is about a mom that lost her son in a motorcycle accident. His name was Greg and he had a best friend named Chris. Lee and Chris have feelings for each other and are trying to hide the fact that they are dating. I am on page 345. I like this book because I never get bored of it.

I am reading "Helter Skelter"Helter Skelter: The True Story of the Manson Murders I just started the book and i think it is very good so far. It is telling about the the murders and how the screams echo in the valley,

I am reading the That Was Then, This Is Now. I'm not very far into it but so far is seems good. Even though I'm only 21% done with the book I already feel like I know the characters.

The main theme of the book is how under priveleged kids survive in a low income life. The kids in my book are all of lower class families and most of them have had other hard times too. Such as losing a parent, friend, or other relative.

I am reading "The Bad Beginning" by: Lemony Snicket. I'm on page 63 of 162. I think its an okay book.

In my book so far I am on the Combat in the Pacific. General Macarthur has his army down in the Marshall islands fighting for control of six atolls( coral/rocky islands) Eniwetok, Kwajalein, Wotje, Maloelap, Jaluit, and Mili. The part that they I am at they are taking over the center island Kwajalein so that hopefully they can overpower the smaller islands around them.

I am reading, Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks. I just started reading it and I think it's pretty good, but also sad. So far, I read about this mother, Adrienne Willis who has gone through a tough journey in her life. She lost her father when she was younger, but she had told no one of the story. Now her Daughter has just lost her husband because of cancer, and Adrienne decides to tell her daughter what had happened back then.

I am on page 25.

I am reading Flags of our fathers. La battaglia di Iwo Jima I am enjoying this book a lot because there are many war scences the I like to read !

[book:I Like Him, He Likes Her: Alice Alone; Simply Alice; Patiently Alice. She is starting to have things get a little for her, she s getting along with her friends, she doing great in the stage crew ( even after getting tattooed) and she has a kind of new boyfriend...

I am reading "Huge." This book is ok so far. I've read 23 pages. This book hasn't caught my interest yet. This book is about a girl who thinks she needs to go to fat camp. She goes there and there's people there that have already been there so she's scared that going to fat camp isn't going to work.

I am reading "Black" by Ted Dekker. Black

I am about half way through. This book is about how a guy is confused about what is dream and what is reality. He is having dreams about another world and the people in his dreams say he is dreaming about his life on Earth. They told him that he was reliving the Histories in the past of Earth and that a Vaccine wiped out most of the human population. So far he thinks his goal is to find the people who are making the vaccine and warn them not to sell it to people, but, is that really his goal? I have yet to find out.

So far it is a really good book.

The book i' m reading is "push" i' m only on page 20, so I haven't figured too much about the book. but when i heard from other readers that read the book, they said it's a great book but very emotional because of what the teenager has to go through.

I just started the book, . It is about these two wintergirls who are anorexic. But when one of them dies the other girl (Lia) blames herself for Cassie's death. Now Lia is living with problems from losing Cassie and not eating enough. Lia makes it look like she eats by adding weight to her close when she gets weighed. She lives with her step mom, who thinks she is eating but really isn't. Lia just isn't a happy person and doesn't respect her family or herself. So far I do like the book but there are some really confusing numbers all over the page that I don't know what they mean yet.

Right now I am reading the the sixth book in the Private Series called "Legacy"Legacy by Kate Brian. Right now in the book they are trying to get over Cheyenne's death. Reed and Josh keep having fights. Reed keeps wondering if her and Josh are meant for each other or if she likes Dash, because Dash keeps emailing her and tells her how much he cares about her. I hope that Reed will stay with Josh and not go with Dash. I am on page 30.

I just got my book and so I haven't started it yet. The other books in the series I enjoyed so I started he 7th one.

i am reading "catching fire" by Suzanne Collins. Katniss is wondering what to do as far as the rebellion going on and recuperating from her fall. I like the suspence in this book it keeps you into the book. i have read 160 pages out of 391.
