I am reading: Parenting Without Power Struggles Raising Joyful, Resilient Kids While Staying Cool, Calm and Connected by Susan Stiffelman

This last weekend, I found myself getting into a power struggle with my three year old kids, so on Sunday night, I downloaded this to my iPad.

So far, it is pretty good, but I do get a little annoyed by the know-it-all tone of most parenting books, but there is certainly some good information about connecting with my kids and making sure I am the captain of the ship---calm and confident.

I am about 45% done.

Amanda I am reading: House Rules by Jodi Picoult

This book is pretty good so far. It is about a teenager with Asperger's Syndrome. His mom and his younger brother have to deal with his life style every day. Asperger's is a form of Autism so he has needed help his entire life. He really likes forensic science so he has a police scanner in his bedroom.
I have read 106 pages.

Justine Bergquist | 7 comments I am reading: Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick

In my book right now, Nora found an article about Elliot, the new student she has a crush, about a murder investigation he was involved with. She's worried to spend time a lone with him, but he keeps asking her out.
I like how there's conflict between Patch, Nora, and Elliot. It makes you root for either Patch and Nora or Nora and Elliot.
I am 42% done with this book.

Akasha Ness (bevus) | 3 comments I am reading The Big Bad Wolf by james Patterson. So far in this book Alex Cross is on another case were the kidnapping of wight beautiful women across the states is happing. This women are being traded as slaves all across the world for high priced amounts. So far two women have been kidnaped by two Russians named working for a man that gose by the name the Wolf. Im not very sure if I like the book yet just because i feel like everything is unrolling very fast in it, like isn't giving much to get you thinking on who could be doing this things to these women it just gives it to u right away. But on the other hand i do like how it give detail on how they kidnap them. So far iv read 95 pages.

Paige | 8 comments I just finished reading: Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen

Right at the end, Ruby and Nate got back together. Nate finally let Ruby tell someone about the abuse he was getting from his dad, and Ruby told Cora (her older sister). Cora helped him get away from his dad because she worked as a family lawyer, but Nate did have to move back to his mom's house away from Ruby. Also, Cora finally got pregnant, and Ruby got into college.
I dislike that the ending was so sudden. It took many chapters to lead up to about four paragraphs of the end. Whenever an author does this in a book, I get frustrated. That's the only part I disliked about this book. What I really loved in this book was the characters and the plot in the story. Ruby was a very interesting character, and I was glad to see that she moved on from her previous lifestyle. This past week, I read the whole "Lock and Key" book (422 pages).

Katie Ford | 7 comments I have just finished: Fifteen Love by Robert Corbet

I really enjoyed this messed up love story. Teenage love stories always seem to work perfectly. This one doesn't. Between Mia's friends and Will's family it doesn't seem like it could ever work out. I really enjoyed the plot of this book and recommend it to anyone who likes love stories.

Brady Peterson (BradyPeterson) | 7 comments I am reading: Tunnels (Tunnels, #1) by Roderick Gordon

Will and his dad Dr.Burrows are really into digging. They have their own excavations under their city. Will and his friend Chester are digging their own tunnel without Will's dad.

In my book Briana Leigh Covington's (Ariana) grandma passed away. She must go meet with the lawer that has "her" grandma's will. There she finds out she is filthy rich. All of her parents money and her grandma's money was sent to her. It's currently parents night and she is meeting Palmer's, her boyfriend's, parents.

I have read 111 of the 208 pages in my book so far.

I am reading: The Winter Room by Gary Paulsen

Wayne Is the oldest son and in the book it just talks about how his life was. He lives on a farm and goes to school. Wayne and his little brother do the chores around the house. Nothing bad has happened in the book.

Jordynn (: Longworth | 6 comments I am reading: One for the Money (Stephanie Plum, #1) by Janet Evanovich

I just started reading this book, so basically what it's talking about is the main character and where she grew up in a blue collar chunk of Trenton called burg. She's talking about a guy, that she'd known sence she was six. His name was Joseph Morelli. He was the guy her mom told her to stay away from, but of course she didn't. After a while through out school she grew up and graduated high school, but she still sees him around.

Olivia Heinen | 6 comments I am currently reading: First Date (Fear Street, #16) by R.L. Stine

So far the book is getting creepy. This couple are on a date. They are camped out on a hill/cliff with a dark woods surrounding. They are making out in the car when the guy drops his wallet. So his girlfriend picks it up and notices that his drivers liscense has someone elses name on it.

message 16: by Saheed (new)

Saheed M | 3 comments Crackback by John Coy

This book is about a football player who plays great but his coach and his father really don't think he's good. The character really gets emotional in this book a lot. I dislike how everybody believes in him except the people who he likes the most.

message 17: by Jason (new)

Jason Gapinski | 5 comments I am currently reading My Side of the Mountain Trilogy by Jean Craighead George

So far in the book this kid named sam has ran away from home and went up to his great grandfathers farm. When he reached the place on the side of the mountain there was nothing left of the farm so he made himself comferterble in a hollowed out tree. I am 57 pages into the book.
