Kristen Harvey | 1046 comments Chasing AllieCat by Rebecca Fjelland Davis is a great book about a girl who gets stuck staying with her aunt over the summer and finds a new friend who loves to bike as much as she does. Only after they find a priest dead in the woods, her new friend disappears and she has to find out what is going on.

I loved this book a lot. It has a few different issues contained in this book - including dealing with grief, sexual abuse, and friendship.

Definitely a book that really was written well and did a great job of telling such a complex story.

Ashley (affie) | 468 comments I seriously feel like I need to start biking now. :) I just finished this one, and I was really impressed. I liked it more than I thought I would. I did think that Davis tried to tackle a few too many of the big issues at one time with this book, and that it might have been a stronger read had she focused instead on just a few of them.

Nevertheless, I think this was definitely worth reading.

Kristen Harvey | 1046 comments I agree, there was quite a bit packed into this book, but yeah, it made me want to bike too! :)
