Need a new series to start reading! discussion

There was only 1 scene out the whole series that did disturb me - if I remember which book it was I will tell ya. But other than that it is full of ALL of the goods!

I tried to read this series once, but only made it halfway thru the first book and couldn't go any farther. Does it get better?

I actually started the series at book 5 (by accident) and it was really good. So when I read book 1 - it gave me some insight on some of the characters I read about. So I guess I looked at it a different way. Some of the books aren't as great as the other ones. But I still enjoyed the series as a whole.
