Paige prowled through the forest, looking for something to hunt and bring back to the pack. She heard Shadow stumbling along behind her and gave up hunting, her pup was too loud.

Paige saw Shay and greeted him, sending him a greeting thought.

Shadow stumbled over to Shay and ran around him, wagging his tail. "Hi Shay!" he thought

Paige told Shadow to stop bothering Shay but he wouldnt stop running to listen

Shadow was still running in circles around Shay, panting. He stopped in front of him and thought to him, 'Teach me how to hunt please?'

Yeah he told Shay My mother wont, she thinks its too early, but i'm a strong wolf like everyone else!

he was still suprised by the request shadow... he siad looking at piage and sighed

But Shayyyyyyyy! he thought, tears welling up in his eyes. She'll say no and I'll never learn! All the other wolves in training have already learned how to hunt!

Paige watched them, raising her eyebrows

he siaghed and placed and noes on his forhead shadow you will learn in thime, and youll be one of the strongist
but you cant rush into this

Please Shay! I'm old enough, all the other pups in training have already learned. It's not fair! tears rolled down his cheek.

Paige cocked her head. Why is my pup crying? she thought to Shay

he sighd agian he wants me to trian him to hunt he offerd a soft smile

What do you think? Maybe it's time he does, but I'm not going to be the one to teach him. Usually the fathers of their pups teach them or they learn on their own, but I dont know where his father is. I dont know if he's even alive thought Paige to Shay. She shook her head clear of the thoughts of her mate.

Are you talking to her? asked Shadow, watching his mother and Shay.

yes, but i wont promise anuthing he siad to shodow and then padded a little way sover to piagemaby so, but if you would like i would be happy to tech him

'Okay, you train him. I trust you. Train him well' she thought to Shay. She turned to Shadow. 'Shay is your mentor, you will behave and listen to him,' she told him and watched him bounce around happily and think the word thank you over and over again.

'I hope you dont' she sighed and padded away. Shadow stayed, though, and asked, 'Can we start now? Can we? Can we? Pleeeeeease?' He sat down in front of Shay and shifted his face into a begging expression.

Shadow followed happily and scented the air

'A... nice smell. Meat and... some liquid. It's not water...' he thought

ok good, now try pick out osme of the fianter scents adn try to figure out the liguid

'I've never smelt the liquid before... wait... while I was eating my first piece of meat I smelt it for the first time. Is it... blood?'

not bad shadow, yes that is blood try to remebr it and know it dosnt always mean dinner

'Doesn't always mean dinner? But we always eat meat with blood on it, is there anything else that has blood?' he asked Shay.

he nooded have you ever gotten a vut before, that red stuff the come out is also blood, while it may mean food if your not in your teritory then it might be a nother wolf pack so be carfull

Justin yawned, stretching out. He looked around for something to do, poking his nose into everything.

'Oh, I didnt know there were other packs, I thought those were just nursery tales' he thought to Shay.

Ami sat on a hill. She looked around.

Justin sat up on a rock and glanced around.

She layed down and yawned.

Ami got up and walked down the hill.

Justin scented the air and lay his ears flat against his head. He sensed another wolf close by.

Ami sniffed the air. She looked for some water.

Shadow peered through the branches and saw the wolf that gave off the scent he smelt.

Justin padded along, following the scent which lead to Ami. He kept off a few feet and watched her cautiously.

Another Wolf he replied to Shay, peering through at Ami and saw Justin peering through the other side of the tree line.
