Not new, though. This is a lovely edition of a book published in 1994. I like the look of these, very Everyman Edition style.

Troubling a Star Madeleine L'Engle.

You will be happy to know Donna that Booksence is pushing a new machine on independent book stores… I think it was called EZbooks. It is basically a machine that stores books electronically and can print off book (covers included). It is suppose to be geared toward out of print books, but can also be used in lue of special orders ( Independent book stores don’t really make money on SO unless they charge a fee) from what my wife tells me I guess it is going to work kind of like Itunes. Or if a store does enough business with it they can get the service on a monthly rate. The only draw back is the machine is pretty expensive so…

Damn now I am starting to doubt if it is EZbooks or not… it is something close to that I think

Well it is on the market... Hopefully more independent books stores will pick it up. I have learned that I have rather odd reading habits. Apparently the books I want to read are next to impossible to locate… or at lest that is what the wife tells me, perhaps she is just trying to manipulate my reading.

Dave Russell Butterfly theory? Is that a reference to the "butterfly effect"?

Yes, Ko, although there are two main families that L'Engle wrote books about. Troubling a Star is an Austin family book, which is L'Engle's Chronos series, so start with Meet the Austins.

Chronos
Meet the Austins (1960)
The Moon by Night (1963)
The Young Unicorns (1968)
A Ring of Endless Light (1980) (Newbery Honor Book)
The Anti-Muffins (1980)
The Twenty-four Days Before Christmas (1984)
Troubling a Star (1994)
A Full House: An Austin Family Christmas (1999)

Her other series, Kairos, is the one that starts with A Wrinkle in Time

You can see the order of all her books on the Wikipedia page for her:

I love A Wind in the Door, Ko. I really identify with Meg at her worst, struggling with high school.
Plus, you get a cherubim as a character. How cool is that!?!
