I am watching the trailer on occasion on goodreads. LOL I can not wait to see it! It isn't playing in my area yet.
im just finished the book and will see the movie tomorrow!! that trailer on the side of the page gave good publicity, because im itching to see it tomorrow!! i will dutifully report back with my opinion! :)
Thank you! You are a good girl!
I am so upset! It came out on March 11th and it has still not come anywhere near where I live! It's Kansas City not a small town out in the country!

No I haven't. Tbat's a good idea though! Thanks. I have to see it if I want to take that posted quiz though before a certain time, because it's based on the book and the movie. At least that's what I got from the posting.

I'm in the KC area...it sucks Jane Eyre isn't here yet. We get the crappy movies like SuckerPunch, but heaven forbid we get something based on a classic book!

So i went to see it yesterday as promised. I have to say i really liked this adaptation. Specially Jane. I will recommend to read the book before seeing it,but is not a must. this adaptation really stayed close to Bronte`s book!. from the prose, to the characters description. kudos to this movie :)

I guess I am going to have to do with my dvd of the BBC adaptation, which I love (Hence my profile pic!) Hopefully it will come soon!. We should keep track of it and go see it together if it does come out, cause my husband has to be dragged to see all things 'Classic'

I was skeptical about this version, but after watching a trailer, I think it's going to be fantastic. It makes me want to reread the book. Autumn, that's really good news that you liked it.
Yes I can't wait to see it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The movie does skip some parts, but thats always expected. they can only adhere to the book so much. Jane was really great! in this version.

I e-mailed the Tivoli in Westport and they sent me one back saying that while they will not be showing it, JE will be coming out in wider release towards the end of spring and we should be getting it then. Oh well, better late than never!

Fiona, I will probably just buy it on DVD, because I'm sure I will cry and get emotionally involved and embarrass myself if I see it at the movies.

Laura wrote: "Saw Jane Eyre today...I think they did a pretty good job for it to be condensed."yep Laura those were my thoughts precisely. I wanted to see more of Edward .. but all things considered, it was a great adaptation.
I'm glad it finally made it here. I thought it was good as well. I wish there had been more interaction between Edward and Jane before they became involved so the chemistry between them could be more developed. At 2 hours though, it would be difficult to do without cutting the more essential parts of the story.Still it was a good adaptation.

It keeps distracting me because I love watching it every single time. It looks like casting was done really well.
Has anyone seen it?
