Anna I am not sure why.

Ayla it was weired how the book was from a different point of veiw of the little mermaid fairy tale

Sandra dewi weird retelling little mermaid fairy tale ... i don't even finish read the book....;)

Anna Interesting retelling of The Little Mermaid. . . I liked how there were two stories going on at once. It added variety. Oh yes, and the happy ending was so much better. :) Aren't they always?

Stories & Verse In the original version of "The Little Mermaid", the prince and the little mermaid do not live happily ever after. In this version, the romance seems to be a love triangle.

If you like this one, you should read Mermaid A Twist on the Classic Tale by Carolyn Turgeon .

It's a fairly unique telling!

I have Mermaid: A Twist on the Classic Tale on my to read book list also. In the original story the Prince marries another woman and the little mermaid dies. This story seems to be an in depth look at the relationship love triangle between the little mermaid, the prince and the woman he marries... a similar take as Midnight Pearls
