Cassandra There should definitely be some sort of box or widget for similar books, since I'm always googling my favorites to see if anyone has recommended anything similar.

I loved the snappy writing style of this book - anyone else who's a fan should check out Anatopsis . Both authors have a style that reminds me of Shrek - appropriate for children but chock full of little snippets that adults love.

Katy The Next two books are even better!!!

Mick D Indeed, the end of the trilogy had me standing on my chair and yelling.

MizziQ If you go to the books um....profile? then on the right (when you scroll down) you'll see things that are related and the same people liked. :)

Leanne Definitely a great series - last book, Ptoelmy's Gate, almost made me cry, which is saying alot since I hate to cry! Will need to check out The Ring of Solomon (a prequel with Barty's history).

Shanna It's not YA but Storm Front (The Dresden Files, #1) by Jim Butcher has a snappy smart a$$ feel to it too

Dharshini Pillai Oh I wish I had a pet djinni like Bartimaeus... This is one awesome fantasy trilogy that I believe readers of all ages will enjoy... I havent read Harry Potter but Im sure that this is a better written sorcerers story!

Leanne I definitely agree! I love Artemis Fowl too - can't wait for the new book, The Last Guardian, coming out this summer! :)

Peter give howl's moving castle a try too if you liked bartimaeus

Rosemary*1D Stole My Heart* I like Harry Potter and The Amulet of Samarkand

Robin The Children of the Lamp series is pretty long and slightly similar, as well as AMAZING.

Citra Bartimaeus Trilogy is the only trilogy where I wasn't dissapointed. Why, because it gets even better. The second book is a little "heavier" however, it just proves that it's not only a filler.

As for the last book, I love it so much!

I'm now reading The Solomon Ring. I can't believe how much I miss Barty!
